Support Gender Identity/Expression at BGSU

171 Signatures Goal: 250

Bowling Green State University is dedicated to he creation of a diverse, inclusive and non-discriminatory environment. Those whose gender identity or gender expression differs from the socio-cultural expectations of masculinity and femininity face frequent harassment and discrimination. In order to create an optimal learning and work environment, BGSU must include gender identity/expression among its protected categories for nondiscrimination. We who sign this petition support BGSU making "gender identity" and "gender expression" protected categories in all of its non-discrimination and equal-opportunity policies. We urge the Board of Trustees to take this important step towards making BGSU a more welcoming, accessible and non-discriminatory environment for all students, faculty and staff, regardless of gender identity or gender expression.
