| 2453 | Erin Finstad | |
| 2454 | Jeff Pitman | My Mac Pro just sits doing nothing because my non aluminum iMac has better graphics preformance that it does. |
| 2455 | charles farnsworth | Hey Apple,
Long time first time, please work with NVIDIA so the older Mac Pro users can get a version of the GeForce 8800 GT.
Thanks |
| 2456 | Barry Dixon | If apple dose not make this card available, I will never buy another apple product. The can go back to the eighties when Apple killed themselves. |
| 2457 | Adam Clarkson | When I was about to buy my Mac Pro few months ago, an Apple Genius at Apple Store told me that one of the main advantages of my 8-Core 3.0 GHz workstation is the ultimate upgradabilty. So, I believed to Apple and bought it with default low-end 7300 card in a hope that I'll upgrade to a 8800 when it becomes available. At that time I didn't want to buy an expensive, problematic and outdated Radeon 1900XT - as my friend had nothing but troubles with that card.
So, months passes and 8800 is finally out, but not for my Mac Pro 2007! Apple's 8800 card works only on the brand new Mac Pro 2008. I really do feel cheated. :-(
This is dishonest and very unfair. Fortunately for Apple - I am not a lawyer, or else I'll probably bring this to the law as a case of "false advertising". I just can't understand that writing a software driver for one(!) card is so problematic for a company like Apple. |
| 2458 | stephen ellis | any time soon , would be nice |
| 2459 | John M | My NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT burnt out on me and after I took it to an apple store they said it would cost me upwards of 550.00 dollars to replace the same card if available with the 8800 update costing only 349.00? now Im stuck with a mac that doesn't work with no real new Nvidia update solution I would like to have a non PCI 2.0 current upgrade for my Power PC. |

| 2461 | Joel Beaudoin | I just hope Apple does something about this ... it is out of character (IMHO) for them to let this slip through. |
| 2462 | Anonymous | I love Apple. I use Macs since day one, since 1984. They have earned my trust as Apple mostly make a truly great products.
However, now they are risking to lose over two decades of trust in just one move. Of course, I am talking about "The ultimate Mac, the super-configurable workstation, the Mac Pro, the most powerful Mac ever!". Yes, I am an unlucky owner of 2007 series.
I was misguided by Apple's sales personal that I'll be able to upgrade it later on, but that is not the case! There is no sensible graphics card for Mac Pro 2007 that works with Mac OS X. Yes, they work on Vista on the same Mac. What a shame! Why don't you make "Get a Mac!" TV commercial about that?
Apple should give Mac Pro 2007 owners an instant drive update to be able to use latest nVidia cards - or whole this "Mac experience" is just silly marketing candy for naive buyers. |
| 2463 | Anonymous | I need this card so I can upgrade from my faulty 1900XT card. Apple need to stop stuffing their loyal customers around. It's April now,how long does it take to make a compatible version of a (aging) 8800GT card? |
| 2464 | Marco Cova | |
| 2465 | Francois Beaudry | What is the point of selling a Tower version of a mac, if we can't be "allowed" to change something as simple as a graphic card. By doing so you are simply shooting yourself in the foot and giving the impression that PC's are a better buy when it comes to pro users.
Are we really suppose to buy a completly new system to simply change a graphic card ?! |
| 2466 | Anonymous | Make it for us, please |
| 2467 | Steve Dorsey | I would purchase this upgrade if it were available for my original Mac Pro. I use 3D and Aperture apps and need this update badly. I will not upgrade my Mac to get a new video card (I'm not rich!!) so I'm at the mercy of Apple. Please do this - it would mean a lot to me and many others!!! |
| 2468 | RSR | I am very disappointed in Apple not to give 8800 GT solution to the Apple Mac Pro I bought less than a year ago. In the past I have always been able to update my video card every year or two but now it looks as if my year 10 month old computer is truly obsolete. As a college student who made this investment in apple it is truly crushing.
Please Apple if you read this I do love my system, studying 3D modeling requires a great video card for a great system more than the nvidia 7300. Please find a way for us to update our mac pros - at students income. |

| 2470 | Colin Eaton | This is a necessity. |

| 2472 | Anonymous | An upgrade kit for my 2006 Mac Pro would bring joy and happiness for all involved! |
| 2473 | Shawn Satterfield | This is crazy, i just bought a REFURBISHED Mac Pro and still paid $2,200. Please make this 8800 work. Come on Apple the entire point of buying a Pro model is the ability to upgrade |
| 2474 | Anonymous | Make this happen!!!! |

| 2478 | Anonymous | make this happen yesterday or i will never buy another mac. im fed up. |
| 2479 | Ryan | I really would like to upgrade my Video Card in this Mac Pro. But the crap that apple pulled make it where you have to buy a new tower just for a video card. Sorry for saying... makes me want to go back to pc. I have a love of video cards. Come on Apple the Nvidia 9000s are out, Aits 3000s are out... Anyway thats that |
| 2480 | Mike Sherman | Will buy this card if offered. |
| 2481 | Todd Niebes | |
| 2482 | Anonymous | My dad bought 2 of these cards and they didn't work with his older mac pro. Tech support made no mention of this, but promised a refund, which we have yet to recieve. I now have next to no respect for Apple or it's arrogance regarding compatibility. |
| 2483 | Paul Vlachos | Come on Apple. We want to give our money to you and use your machines. Update the card. Don't be bogus. |
| 2484 | stéphane campa | |
| 2485 | Anonymous | I'm extremely disappointed that Apple continues it's heavy-handed approach to repeat business. Locking in customers to having to continually upgrade their entire workstations in order to benefit from the latest hardware advances is a tactic that Apple should be ashamed of. Apple needs to make the latest graphics cards enabled for earlier MacPros immediately and apologize to their professional user base. Apple needs to Think Different. |
| 2486 | ray | We need upgrade~~~~~~~~~~~ for Mac Pro 2006!!!!!!!!!!!! |
| 2487 | Chris Carlton | |
| 2488 | Ryan Shuttleworth | Come one apple - I bought this beast to be upgradeable |
| 2489 | Ivan Subotic | |
| 2490 | Rich ODrobinak | |
| 2491 | Jonathan Collier | |
| 2492 | Robert Benson | I want one of these cards. I Paid $3000 for my computer, I should be able to have a hi-pro video card. |
| 2493 | Keyth Scales | Seriously. |
| 2494 | Stuart Seeley | I spent a lot of money on this mac pro, expecting to upgrade my video card later.. and just 2 months later, not only is a much better mac pro available... I can't even upgrade my video card. I feel ripped off... Come on apple... at least fix this issue so we can upgrade our video cards to the 8800 GT. |
| 2495 | Craig Asato | Please make a version of the GeForce 8800GT for my Aug 2006 MacPro. |
| 2496 | Paul Tunison | I'm one of the many wanting/needing an upgrade since I can't afford another entire computer system. |
| 2497 | Anonymous | Come on steve sort this mess out! |
| 2498 | Bernard Lachaud | |
| 2499 | David S. | |
| 2500 | Johan Alm | Although way too late....THANKS APPLE! |
