Geauga used the park as a draw for thier ecconomy and now after 100+ years of history its to be mothballed so you can raise prices at Cedar Point ,yet again, In a waining ecconomy. You have made a very poor choice why couldn't you turn Geauga into Cedar Point East The point is running out of space and Geauga in a good location to catch customers from north and south but if the customer is paying more and more for less park why should they come!? Removal of rides? Why !? Mismanagement!? Yes sorry guys you dropped the ball on this and ruined both Cedar Point and Geauga for me. Cedar Point doesn't have the kind of rides I like if Cedar fair is so family oriented then why do you celebrate making higher and faster rides at the Point!? Your excuse is rediculous. |

My favorite being the Dipper (how ironic). I am upset at what has happen to the park. I would love to see the park reopen. I think that both sides being what's there would make for a great day of family fun. |
| 4510 | clifford losinger | ihave been to geauga lake only 3 times in my life the first was when i was 9 years old i thought that was one of the funnest times in my younger days, the next time i was there i took my 7year old son and i realized that this place was even better than the first time, the next time i went was when my son took my grandson and me to the park and i could not beleive how bad the place really looked this was just before they closed up. i feel that if someone makes promises to keep the upkeep on something that they should have keep their promises and not go back on their word. it makes me feel to i can't trust the word of anyone anymore. |

Your prices are out of line for food and everything else. The flagship park is looking rather poor with paint needed badly on Blue Streak and other parts of the park. Many bulbs are out on Giant Wheel. Rides that never were out of commission are the norm at Cedar Point and not the exception. What is going on over there? A great park like Geauga Lake never should have closed. You will not get those guests at Cedar Point either due to gas prices, the economy, and the simple fact that there are two different markets, and supposedly you had a Department that knows this. There is so much disgust for Cedar Fair mismanagement here and the surrounding area. Shame on you for your lack of insight. Took on too much debt by buying the Paramount Parks, that you neglected the asset in Aurora. The reason attendance was not there is because you did not do anything to try and increase it on the rides side. Bring back rides like Tilt-a-Whirl, Music Express, and those that were fun at Geauga Lake. Supposedly it was a "Family" Amusement park, how can it be when you ripped out rides? Total disregard for 119 years of history, and fun. |
