Concidering that they own and opperate one of the most successful parks in the world and here they are giving high hopes in leaving the park open, and yet now shutting it down. My family has been going to this park for generations and I was hoping to keep that tradition up since my kids are to little for Cedar Point. It's truely not fair since where my family lives is a lot closer than Cedar Point and espeically on how the gas prices are now a days. Well I had respect for Cedar Point but now my ideas have changed. Personally I would rather to save up 10 thousand dollars to take my family to Disneyland than rather go to any Cedar Fair's parks and I think that is what us citizens shopuld do is to boycot their parks but then again that is my opinion so e-mail me back at Lurchdogg_2000@yahoo.com and let me know that you had received this petition Thanx for your time |

If any way possible bring back all rides or make new ones but dont turn Geauga Lake into just a water park. |

I can remember each year running up to the Big Dipper to see if I was tall enough to ride. It was a thrilling experience when I was finally able to do so. PLEASE don't destroy this wonderul ride!! |

| 4397 | Kathy Steinmetz | Wow, am I disappointed. I had no idea, being a PA resident and an every-other-year visitor to Cedar Point, that this happened to Geauga Lake. In fact I thought (until today) that since Cedar Fair had purchased Geauga Lake previously that it would make a great side trip for this year's journey to Cedar Point. It was not until I Googled "Geauga Lake" did I learn what happened. AND I WAS A SHAREHOLDER WHEN IT HAPPENED. I DID NOT GET ANY NEWS THAT THIS WOULD HAPPEN. So, I am extremely glad that I WAS a shareholder (I sold my interest for a number of reasons, not the least of which was a ridiculous amount of paperwork associated with holding LLP stock, but had I not done that you can be assured that I would have sold it this morning after reading this. SHAME ON YOU CEDAR FAIR. I'm very disappointed in your actions. |

Instead of sitting at my computer this morning complaining about Geauga Lake's closing, I should have been on my way to Geauga Lake for opening day had you not closed the park. It's a somewhat chilly but gorgeous day. Although the day is starting out chilly, it's just the kind of day for riding roller coasters. Wouldn't dream of going to Cedar Point...now or in the future thanks to your greed. Instead I will be purchasing my FOUR pack of tickets to Kennywood for $74.95 with FREE parking and will drive two hours to Kennywood instead of an hour to Geauga Lake. (Tickets are available at visitkennywood.com). Even though gas is nearly $3.75 a gallon and I'll be driving nearly 110 miles, it's still worth the drive to Kennywood if you want to experience the Geauga Lake type atmosphere. Hope to run into many former Geauga Lake patrons there. So long GREEDY CEDAR unFAIR. |
