starla grossi agree and hope that things change before the 2008 summer begins.i go to geauga lake because it is closer to my house then sea world and because i loved that you can get into the watre park and rides all in one ticket unlkie cedar piont where you have to pay separate to get into the water park.plus we always camp out and there are tons of campgrounds near the park but not to nearly as many near cedar point.. good luck with this petition and i hopto be going back to geauga this summer 2008
Tresha BresslinLiving in Erie, PA, I did not hear of any of the news of the closing of the park rides. I signed on to plan our summer family trip today and read all this in disbelief. It rained the entire time we were there last year, but we STILL wanted to come back this year and support the park. We used to go to Darien Lake each year, but found Geauga Lake much better of an atm osphere. I guess we will need to keep looking...sadlt enough...for a nice family get away.
JacobSave it, it's a historical land mark!

Jodi L. PotterWhat a sad sad thing to have an affordable amusement park get set by the way side.
Crystal O'BrienGeauga Lake is where I spend my summer family vacations as a child. Then when I was old enough my now fiance had proposed to me at the gates of Geauga Lake with the help of Linus and the wonderful staff. I wanted to come back every year to celebrate this great time in my life but due to your horrible decision to demolish the wonderful park I will no longer be able to . This is a horrible idea and I hope that you will save the park.

Tim HolloranI have been visiting this park all the way from massachusettes since the six flags worlds of adventure inception in 2000. Me and my family would camp on park property every year. When cedar fair took over I visited once and did not return. Taking the animals out was a big mistake.

Cherie PennelWay to go, a-holes
Francine BradyI just heard that the park is closed and I feel awful. I live in Pittsburgh and go to Kennywood about 3 times a year and Cedar Point 4 times I still enjoyed the "big park" with a quiant park feel and close to home. It's a pity that we don't preserve our heritage and history. What a shame that we were not given a chance to say good-bye. Very sad!
Raymond ScheneI was lucky to find Geauga Lake by accident when planning a trip to Cedar Point. I enjoyed the last 3 years it was opened, and I will never forget what a beautiful park it was.
bdizzlei think that the park should reamain open and i also think cedar fair messed every thing up and i wish now that six flags never sold it back to them
Douglas M SpickardMy family and I were very saddened to hear of the closing of Geauga Lake. We have enjoyed the park for well over 30 years. We hope that a means can be found to re-open Geauga Lake soon

MaryI see on the Geauga Lake website that starting this coming Friday (4/25), Saturday (4/26) and Sunday (4/27) that you can purchase Geauga Lake souvenirs. Of course you will have to go to the old Sea World side to do so. Bless their greedy hearts...there is no parking or admission charge to go inside to purchase Geauga Lake memorabilia. Thanks, but no thanks. I purchased REAL Geauga Lake souvenirs eight years ago when Geauga Lake was sold to Six Flags. I have genuine Geauga Lake employee uniform shirts and things like that...nothing like the crap that Cedar Fair will be selling, that's for sure. If the sale would have been on Geauga Lake property, I might have taken the ride to go there for one last time. Another face of Cedar Fair's greed.

Cindy Lou PhillipsWe went to Geauga Lake in 2007 for the first time and had the best time ever! We actually decided we were going to buy passes this year. We liked the idea of both parks for 1 price and the day was not spent standing in lines more than you were riding. We were under the impression that Cedar Fair's bought the park to improve it, not to wipe out the competition. My whole family is extremely dissapointed!
David DeCosmoFrom Wilkes-Barre,Pennsylvania. Attractions like this are all about the quality of life in a community. They must be preserved and maintained!
Shirley A. BallIt's a real shame. Geauga Lake Park is a piece of History. When you meantion Geauga Lake no matter what state you're in someone will always say they have been to the park. Save our beloved park !! I grew up in that park!!!!!

Ralph KisielThe Big Dipper was called The Clipper back when I enjoyed Geauga Lake Park as a kid with my family. Please save this roller coaster masterpiece! Reassemble it in Kings Island, Michigan Adventure, Cedar Point, anywhere. Just save this coaster icon. Perhaps saving this fine coaster will soften the bite and bitterness from Cedar Fair's decision to close this park.

Timothy Quinlan Jr.The first and still greatest theme park I have ever visited. It's a shame you mothballed it.

KaylaGeauga Lake was where I recieve my first kiss and went on my first date i went there every weekday in the summers for the past three years! i was very disappointed to have learned of the closing of my second home in the summers. Cedar Point is to far for me so I am sorry to tell Cedar Fairs that they have lost my business and the business of many other because of this poor decision!!!
Zach PetersonIts a shame looking at the pictures from back when it was Six Flags, and the original Geauga lake, and then seeing it all being taken down.

Patty McGuaneMy Kid's 21,18,16 love this park please try t osave it.
Tyree ProctorIf Cedar Fair wants to play dirty, let's show them dirty. Boycott Cedar Fair, if you have their stock then sell it. It's time for people to take back America. Now call the consumer division and yell at them for their idiocracy. If they think they are doing this GL thing right. They are wrong, dead wrong.
KATHY JARONOWSKICEDAR FAIR REALLY SCREWED UP A FAMILY PARK THAT I HAVE BEEN GOING TO ALL MY LIFE. WITH NO NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC, CLOSING THE PARK WAS PRETTY ROTTEN. THE LEAST THEY CAN DO NOW, IS GIVE THE BIG DIPPER TO THE PEOPLE WHO WILL PRESERVE AND APPRICIATE IT.
Tony MayauskyFor years there has always been the excitment of going on rides and having fun at geuaga lake, but when people care more about money than keeping people happy,it seems to bring people down. Ok,economy has been driving into the ground these last few years, but this should not be a major concern. It may take lots of money to keep these parks maintained and operated, but taking away summer fun from families isn't the way to boost the economy. I think that this decision came way too quik and should have been annonced nationally, before the desicion was made
