Jessica | Geauga Lake was a one of a kind place to spend time with family and friends. I have so many memories there and I cannot believe that CF did not even give us the opportunity to say goodbye and ride our favorite rides one last time before they closed our park. It makes me want to cry that I will never see that park or those rides again. RIP Geauga Lake.

Andrew Love | You've ruined countless childhood memories for me. It would pain me to ever step foot into Cedar Point or King's Island, and I'm sure I'm not the only person around Columbus who agrees.
DOUGLAS L POSTLETHWAIT | LOVE GEAUGA LAKE AS A KID AND A FORMER EMPLOYEE
| 4208 | shana davis | I would like to say to Cedar Fair shame on you I
hope no onne treats you or your family this way. I do hope that other corpoerations and sponsers connected to you know what kind of company they do bussiness with |
Chad Warrick | Don't just save the roller coaster...save the whole park!

Scarlett Graber | I was extremely disappointed to hear that Cedar Fair closed the amusement park side of Geauga Lake. I had planned to purchase platinum season tickets, but have changed my mind since hearing of this closure.
J. Smith | My girlfriend and I were planning to buy season tickets until finding out that geauga lake closed. We were never very interested in the water park attractions.
Brian Krepps |
Brenda Cunningham | Out of all the rides there, the Big dipper was the best. I grew up going to this park and the way they are removing and selling these rides is appalling. I hope we can save the Big Dipper at least.
Justin | I loved going to this park every year. I started going there with my parents when i was little. It is just a depressing thought to think that it won't be there anymore.
Lora Bancroft | This is extremely disappointing losing another family friendly size amusement park. Being from the Youngstown area...losing Idora Park and the "Wild Cat" (another historic roller coaster)...to now losing the "Big Dipper" sends the message that Cedar Fair doesn't seem to care about anything but money! The drive to Aurora is much more feasible than the drive to Sandusky to a much larger park (not as family friendly)..with this in mind I feel this is only going to hurt Cedar Fair more than help. Many families will no longer be able to afford an amusement park get-away with the extra cost of gas and more expensive entrance fee. So much for all the local companies that also used the park as their company picnics. Where do they go now? Cedar Point will not be in the consideration as it is too far. There is so much more to a park than just one bad season...maybe weather had something to do with it as well. We were so excited when Cedar Fair bought Geauga as we only watched it be let go and run down when Six Flags owned it and had such high hopes. Wow are we disappointed. Not sure our family will be spending any of our limited family fun money with any of the Cedar Fair parks in the future. We will be using our money to support organizations with more concern for the communities in which they impact than your company has shown northeast Ohio.
Sean Harris | Never been to this park, but all in favor of saving a wooden classic. Why can't a waterpark also operate a ride or two?

Tom Wieser | You could at least move big dipper to Cedar Point. It can be done. The old london bridge was moved from england to lake havasu in arizona. it would also give cedar point an 18th roller coaster. if you move raging wolf bobs and villain as well, that would put cedar point at 20

Linda Petruzzi | I live in Florida now, but I grew up in Cleveland. I still can't believe all of this is happening.
bob goldie |
kathy billington | I can remember when going to Geauga lake the main entrance use to be going under the Big dipper and it was one of the first rides we would ride, and would love to see my grandkids enjoy this ride SAVE THE DIPPER
Margaret A. Marotta | I loved Geauga Lake as a child growing up in the eastern suburbs and now loved sharing that same thrilling experience with my own kids. One is 11 and the other 13 and are still considered too small for most of the rides at Cedar Point. And besides, Cedar Point, although a great park itself, is too far away for a family to enjoy a day visit and too expensive when the kids can't ride most of the rides! We made MANY daily pilgrimages to Geauga Lake since our kids were old enough to ride the "kiddie" rides and it was so convienient to only be 30 minutes from home instead of a two hour drive! Shame on you Cedar Fair! Long Live the "Dipper!"

| 4229 | Sujata Emani | Please revamp Geauga Lake to Cedar Fair's Excellent Standards. As far back as I can remember, Geauga Lake has been a part of my family's summer holidays. Geauga Lake has a proud past time of Family Fun and Anticipation of Summer Excitement.
Geauga Lake is a part of Cleveland and a part of each Clevelander's Life. Please help us to keep such a great park, which has a past engraved in Cleveland's History, alive! |
Megan Cramer | I grew up going to Geauga Lake every year, to hear that it is going to be gone is devastating! I'm still bitter about the removal of Sea World. And now Geauga lake too? What a shame!

Kiesha Booker | I just found out that Geauga Lake Amusement Park closed in September and that the remaining rides are being auctioneed today. My family of 4 and I get season passes every year for the last 6 years. This is very disappointing. I don't want to drive to Cedar Point especially with the price of gas. It was nice there was a park nearby that was fun. I hope somehow the park can be saved or rebuilt.

kelly | i had once worked at this wonderful place. i miss miss it so much and i am so disapointed that my children will not get to experance the joy that i did when i was younger. I am not happy about what ceder fair has done they did not even give the park a fighting chance. so i will no longer be going to any park owned or operated by cedar fair.

Christian Jaekle | Even though I'm not the biggest fan of this ride, I could not believe that now everything is gone... At least make one coaster stay, please ='(

Val | I am just sicken by the actions of CF. It always seems like we have to take a good thing and turn it for profit. Geauga Lake will always be better the CP!!! It was a park that was more family oriented and gave you that feeling when you were there. I hope that letting a historic place be stripped and letting down the public, really takes it's toll on you when you lay your head down at night!! I know my money won't fatten your wallet anymore!!

Another Disgusted Patron | Cedar Fair has gotten all the money they are going to get out of me. My family and I used to love going to Kings Island for a three or four day get away. It was a nice place to visit...until Cedar Fair got their greedy hands on it. Sorry but I refuse to visit any property associated with Cedar Fair. Will go to Six Flags Great America, Hershey Park, Busch Gardens and Kennywood instead.
