Katiethat ride is like a memory of childhood. they just cannot get rid of this ride.
marge milliernI feel saddened by the notion that the park will close again. I absolutely adored Geauga Lake and looked forward to attending every year. Please do NOT close again.

Dawn and Aaron LairdHow sad that with the closing of Sea World, this park just seemed to go downhill. We sadly witnessed the end of an era.

Ryan KendrickI have been going to this park my whole life every year. To see it be run into the ground and then auctioned off makes me sick. Geauga Lake will forever be remembered as one of the greatest amusement parks! Cedar Fair just wanted the park shut down. Thanks for letting me know Cedar Fair. Real Classy.
melina polingsave geagua lake!
Amanda ConkleI was so upset when Geauga Lake closed. I am happy that I went during the last weekend. I am saddened that i will not be able to take my children like my parents took me.

Mary McNattI live in Pennsylvania and my children and I come out to Geauga Lake every year for a mini vacation. I guess we will not be coming this year. It's a shame what they are doing to this park.
charityThey take sea world away now the amusement park away, being about a hour away made some family fun. Now look more people out of jobs. It seems everything is being taken away from children now days. I hope the rides aren't being shipped to china like the rest of everything else.
Tyree ProctorThe comittee who thought to close Geauga Lake were probably drunk when they made this decision. They need to listen to the people before they make stupid decisions like this. The board at Cedar Fair need to stop acting like bastards and act like decent beings. Many memories may die due to the clousure. If they're reading this, open the park back up before the end of an era is permanent
Brian K. HigbyI have quite a few fond memories from that park and I think that Cedar Fair's handling is totally uncalled for.

Kim HollandI am not local, but the park was a very nice place to visit. I took my son when he was little. I wanted to take him back now that he is almost out of collage and will probably be moving out soon. Guess these are memories we can only talk about and can't actually recapture. Had I known, we would have made the trip sooner.

AngelaNow this is starting to hurt. Our family always went the week after Easter to have our season passes processed. The workers would be diligently working to spruce up the park. We would drive around the perimeter of the park to see if we could see what was new. Although I've known all along that this would not take place this year, reality has set in and now it is so final. CEDAR FAIR STINKS.
BryannaThey can't tear the big dipper down it was a classic to everybody I love that ride save it leave it alone.
Justinai agree so much with this. i was so disappointed last year when some of the rides were shut down, and when x-flight and steel venom were removed!!

Kent ZirlorrI can truly say I will not visit any Cedar Fair properties this year as a boycott to what they did to Geauga Lake. They lied their butts off about this park, just like Six Flags did with Astroworld and Gaylord Entertainment did with Opryland, and even now Houston and Nashville still feel the harmful effects from the loss of their parks.

Doug HammackSomething as historic as one of the last remaining "John Miller" Coaster needs to be saved. And the Wolf Bobs are a Riverview creation so that is more historical significance. Lets not make the mistake those in days gone by did and keep some historical integrity.
Tom Rolandplease save my life :(
Brianthat park was there for many years why would someone just take it down to build something else when there's alot of memorys there and could of been more
AlexI THINK CEDAR FAIR CO. IS STUPID AND THE BOARD MEMBERS NEED TO DIE !
Christopher M. BrownAlthough im only 16, ive been been Geauga Lake Every Year and never ONCE did i NOT ride the big dipper. Its the first coaster i ever rhode. 4147 Lauren ThomasI will miss Geauga Lake!
Rick WolfeThis is the first year I will not be going to Cedar Point in many years in response to Cedar Fair killing Geauga Lake. I will be checking out Kennywood in Pa. I heard it is a great park. Kennywood should be getting quite an increase in attendance thanks to Cedar Fair. If Cedar Fair wants any respect, the least they could do is allow the Big Dipper a future.
