Sharetha BattisteI would like to state that it really is ashamed that Geauga Lake has decided to change their amusement park into a water park. This park has attracted so many locals and out of towners to this attraction. It truly is ashame, customers were loyal to this park for as long as I can remember. Why won't the owners be loyal to their customers. Maybe the customers shouldn't patronized any of your parks. SHAME ON YOU GEAUGA LAKE
Danielle LackiI went to Geauga Lake a few years ago and i had the time of my life, i was excited to go back this year but then i find out Geauga is no more?! Im very dissapointed with whoever made this idiodic dessicion to tear the park down. Thank you for ruining a perfect vacation for our friends and familys you should be ashamed!

Josh L.You could have at least given us a years warning before closing it down so we could have got ride time on the Bog Dipper. Just no warning - CLOSED!
Julie Renneutterly disgusting, screw cedar fair and cedar point i never want to go there again
Adrienne IontaI am a past summer employee of Cedar Point and have to say that I am extremely upset with the decision to close the rides part of the park. GLP is much closer to my home now and never had the lines or price that Cedar Point has and that is one of the biggest reasons that I loved taking my daughter there. I was planning on having her 8th Birthday party there this year, but I guess now I will have to have it at Idlewild Park instead. I was really hoping that GLP would become the same great family fun atmosphere that I love with lots of variety. Oh well, I guess I was wrong. WHAT A SHAME!!
Cory HugheyAs children my generation had the oppurtunity to enjoy Cedar Point, Geauga Lake and Conneaut Lake Park. Don't turn Geauga Lake into another CLP.
MaryFor those of us who have no intentions of visiting Cedar Fair parks, check out visit kennywood.com and you will see that you can purchase a four pack of tickets to Kennywood for $74.95. They also say that individual tickets can be purchased at Ohio Discount Drug Mart stores for just $19.50 each. Since Geauga Lake won't be opening this summer, I plan to take my family to Kennywood instead of visiting any Cedar Fair property.

Norm McNaryCorporate greed supreme!!
donna langfordmoved here from Indiana primarily because of the park

Timothy J. EnschGeauga Lake Park was the park I grew up with. Cedar Point closed this park for pure greed. Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh is looking a lot better now compared to Cedar Point
Lucian SpallaShameful. Greedy. Rude. Ruthless. I have nothing else to say.

Thomas Bonner JrThis park was a huge part of my growing up. It was bad enough when Seaworld was taken from us but this is just not right. What ever happned to caring what people want instead of looking at the bottom line and worrying about your pockets and how fat you can get them? Integrity and Honesty is obviously out the window and i wil NEVER visit or spend ANY money for Cedar Fair, EVER!!

J. G.If Dick Kinzel treated his children the way he treats his loyal park guests and employees, he would have been in jail long ago. Cedar Fair is a useless pack of moneygrubbers with no more tradition or excellence than the other breed of prostitute. Give them time and all of America's great historic parks will become the cookie-cutter trash we see from Six Flags, only with the Cedar Fair premium prices. Kill them all!
Patrick BakerMy girlfriend worked there for a season and loved working there. In addition, I enjoyed visiting the park the 1st time and probably last time, last year when I went. This is a gem, it is sad to see it all go to waste, especially its history it has. Surprise there was no push to make it a historical landmark.
Puala GionfriddoI worked there for a season back in 1995 and loved working there.

Catherine PetersonMy first job was at Geauga Lake Park in 1985. Seven years later, I auditioned for an was cast in the live shows, all in all spending 10 wonderful years employed by the park. I grew up spending summers there and across the lake at Sea World. I am very hurt by the way this was handled.

Kathleen D'SidockyIt is very sad to see how the park was handled. I don't believe there was ever any intention on the part of Cedar Fair to run the business appropriately. The park is rich in history and vital to the community (and surrounding communities) economically and otherwise.
Pablo OsorioI've been in geauga lake twice and i think it's stupid and unfair to take the amusement side of the park and send each ride to another parks because everybody including me will enjoy the park more if u guys leave the park the way it was, rarther than leave it just as a water park itself for the reminder of the 2008 season

Bill Hscrew you all for getting rid of one of the best parks in the world! save the dipper!
Jill DevineReally sad to see it go...it started going downhill once Sea World pulled out of there
Paula GolladayOnce again money is the driving force to close yet another landmark in the nation. The Big Dipper is a classic roller coaster and should not be torn down. ACE a national organization is wishing to build their museum around this outstanding roller coaster please simple have the coaster declared a National Landmark and then it can not be destroyed for the all mighty dollar. Thank you Paula Golladay

John DadismanMy family has enjoyed Geauga Lake Park as long as I can remember...since the early 70's anyway...we sincerely hope that Cedar Fair will give a second or third thought to closing the park.
Brian SakidsHow could you take a family happy place here in our backyards of the Cleveland area and destroy it! Sahme on you Cedar Fair, I will not take my kids to one of your corp parks in the future! You should have asked the people who have brought there families to Geauga Lake for years! When you first bought the park I thought you were doing a good thing, Turned out you only bought it to dismantle it little by little, I could see how ever year you were not putting any care into the ride side off the park because your plans slowly came true to get rid of the ride side! I guess it takes a filthy rotten grinch to take away something that was good in Ohio!
