3952 torrian millerits not fair to me ive only been to the park once and i was looking forward to riding my two favorate roller coasters the dominator and thunderhawk i guess i will never get to ride them.
3953 William HolmesI can't believe how little effort Cedar Fair put into restoring this great old park. I think they ultimately considered Geauga Lake to be competition for Cedar Point and decided benign neglect would be best for their bottom line because of declining attendance at their own 'crown jewel.' I am really going to miss riding the historic "Big Dipper." What a shame.

3955 BryanThis hurts me and my family so bad that your closing. And the way you guys did it was so sneaky. No one even had a chance to say good by.The history of that park is older then any of you at cedar fairs.Once again money talks, and friends, familys, and memories don't matter. II ask for 2 things One more year, and leave the Big dipper alone.

3957 Carrie WardI just found out that there is no longer a Geauga Lake. I am very upset. The Raging Wolf Bobs is the roller coaster that made me fall in love with roller coasters. I have to say that I was very happy when I first heard that Geauga Lake had been bought by Cedar Fair. I thought that they would take care of the park and help restore it to what it was or even better then it was. It makes me very sad that they dismantled it. I am in shock. I just can not believe it.
3958 Jeremy CurrenceI really do not believe that there will no longer be a geauga lake. So long good friend.

3962 Jake HamonsI think if Cedar Fair wants to close the park they should. But all of the rides should be moved to Cedar Fair's other parks likem Cedar Fait, Kings Island and many of the other parks. By closing Geauga Lake they can duble the amount of rides in the other psrks

3971 Johnny CorneliusNot many good old historical parks like this left anymore very sad to see another one go. And not a very decent way of going about it on CF's end. I wish that Six Flags would have sold to a company that was more willing to place the parks history and well being as the main focus and had been more willing to put a little effort into it. Bad Move CF, low figures on your papers were to be expected since you in basic didn't even give the park a chance in the short time you owned it. Amusement Park fans all over are feel as if CF didn't even care enough to give anyone a fair waring for last rides. I hope the company takes a massive fall at it's other parks as I surly will spend my vacation at a NON Cedar Fair this summer, and I hope many others turn backs on the CF Parks, just as Cedar "Unfair" has done to park and coaster enthusiast's all over with this obviously "Unprofessional" move. If enough people would boycott the CF parks for one year enough to kick them in the wallet maybe next time that they decide to pull a blow like this, lessons will have been learned... THANKS For The Final Pics, Rides, Souvenirs, That we as GL fans will never get CF. After over a century of operation this was one poor grand finale. The park and fans deserved much more and with being Cedar Fair "kings of amusement " I'm sure you could have found a better way of doing things. A finale year that was properly advertised may have made for a "hell of a year" of attendance and been a decent thing to do for the parks long time fans and would have pulled enthusiast's from all over for that final ride...Umm Hello??? Mishandled is an understatement !

3974 Tara FerrellI am still so upset by this that 6 months later, I can not stand to talk about it or even here the name Geauga Lake. This has broken my heart. My daughter will never be able to really enjoy this fantastic place like I did and thousands before me did. It is not fair. It is unbelievable to me how greed is at the root of all evil. Goodbye Dear Friend. I will miss you.

3992 Elizabeth JonesI worked through college (and beyond) at Geauga Lake and was just stunned to learn of this. It's a shame what corporate America has done for a profit.
3993 Brian TurnerI'm a member of the Florida Coaster Club (FLCC) and a resident of Orlando, FL and had hoped to visit Geauga Lake within the next couple of years. I was really supprized when the annoucement was made that the park wouldn't open for next season. I can compare this to a park called Boardwalk and Baseball (aka Circus World) which closed abruptly at 1pm in mid January of 1990 with guests still in the park by Anheuser Busch, the park owner. While not as bad as that, it still would have left me bitter knowing i wouldn't be able to go back for one more ride on all the roller coasters. I still lament the closing of Boardwalk and Baseball but was happy to learn that my first wooden coaster "The Florida hurricane" and my first steel looping coaster "The Zoomerang" were saved from the wrecking ball and I would hope that you find a home for the "Raging Wolf Bobs" and the third oldest wooden coaster in the world "The Big Dipper" as I would hate to see those fall to the wrecking ball. I have visited Cedar Point and Kings Island and want to let you know that those are great parks with a great diversity of roller coasters. Hopefully you'll find a place atleast for those two historic coasters soon. And give the area residents a chance to say goodbye to their park before you close it. Thanks :-)

3997 Bambie D'AmbroseOh my god, I had no idea this was happening. I was just starting to plan summer trips with the family and decided to go to Geauga Lakes website and then to find this out.... Had I'd known that the park was shutting down it would have been nice for myself and my family to have made a trip to the park for one last visit. When I think of Geauga Lake it brings back fond childhood memories visiting this park several times as a child. It sure would have been nice to experience that with my own children. Thanks to a company that obviously doesn't consider the families who really had a love for this park and it's fond memories it brought every year.
