| 252 | Scott Holter | Cedar Fair is guilty of either (a) pure incompetence in its management of GL or (b) lying to the general public because it always intended to close GL. |

| 255 | John H Cottrell Jr. | I can not believe that companies are allowed to do things like this in our country. The only thing that makes me happy when thinking of Geauga Lake now is that I was able to take my children on the Big Dipper for their first roller coaster ride, just as my father did for me. I was looking forward to one day taking my grand kids on the Dipper for their first rides, but sadly now I don't think that will ever happen. I will never set foot on another cedar fair property. I guess I will have to buy season passes to Kennywood and take my family their for rides and attractions....Good-bye Geauga Lake...you will always live on in my dreams. |
| 256 | Let it live | Sell the park. Don't tear it down, just to fill your greedy wallets with money made for developments. If you don't sell the park, you will have sold your soul .. to the devil and will rot in hell for eternity |

| 259 | Stanley Terry | I love Geauga Lake and the fun times i had there please don't close it |
| 260 | Nick | This is sad they are doing this for no reason!!!! |
| 261 | Brian Smith | Save the big dipper! PLEASE! ...
Your lack of commitment to geauga lake was very apparent. On our last trip to over 10 amusement parks, GL was the worst park out of the bunch. Why? Poor running rides, lack-luster staff, VERY expensive and POOR food choices and overall lack of excitement and commitment.
Combine that with no advertising and new rides, what did you expect? What did we expect? A clean park, great food choices and decent prices and maybe some family friendy and traditional ride choices.
I hope you might realize your mistake. The water park might do well, but the two parks makes it a draw. Epecially from someone out of the area like myself.
Move forward, but respect the history of your parks while you are at it. ` |

| 264 | Tina Curtis | Unbelievable news! Extremely disappointed!
Please, I beg you all to SAVE THE BIG DIPPER! If not move it to another park, put it up for sale and let another park buy it and rebuild it. |
| 265 | Tyler Howard | I've noticed that even though Geauga Lake is being closed to generate more revenue for Cedar Point, yet so far most people have said they will take their business to Kennywood. I enjoy that. Shame on you, Cedar Fair. |
| 266 | Cory Marshall | I love the Cedar Fair company and up to this point, I thought they had done things right with Geauga Lake. The removal of the two roller coasters last year wasn't much of a suprise, attendence was at a low and I figured they were just trying to downsize. The complete closal of the park though comes as a total suprise. People should have been told prior to oktoberfest, because I assure you when I was there that weekend I would have taken along my camera if I would have known. I would also have probably put more effort in riding more rides. This whole thing leaves us fans wondering what will happen to some of these great rides. Will Raging Wolf Bobs and The Big Dipper become a memory from the past? Gosh, I really hope not. They are both incredible wooden roller coasters, and very high up there on my list of personal top favorites. In all, this entire thing is just a huge dissappointment and loss to all who loved Geauga Lake. |

| 268 | Andrew Leffler | We were made to believe that Cedar Fair was going to turn this place around, instead they tore it aprt over the past three years. |

| 273 | EDDIE HOLT | Millenium Force or Top Thrill Dragster is is enough to draw huge crowds to Cedar Point. I think it is time for Geauga Lake to get a coaster like that! |
| 274 | Rob Ascough | Do something to honor history for once, Cedar Fair. Do the right thing. You know what it is. |
| 275 | cindy sluder | it breaks my heart to see geauga lake's demise. i went to the park the first time in 1984. I have brought my children, 5, 7 and 9, for the past several years to share the memories of the park that i cherrished so well. We will miss you geauga lake, the memories will never be replaced by flashing uncaring parks such as your precious cedar point. |

| 277 | Garret | It is indeed a shame to see such a great amusement company screw up such a historic park. Cedar Fair is usually known for improving all of their properties, but this one is an extreme dissappointment. |
| 278 | Nick Zmina | I am tired of the fallacy that Cedar Fair is the best company in the world, even the park's savior. We can see through the blinders now and your scapegoats won't serve you anymore. We know the reason this park failed was not due to Six Flags, gas prices, or weather. The reason this park is being shut down is because Cedar Fair could not manage the park correctly and chose instead to cannibalize what they saw as a piece of meat. Its about time someone said something about this atrocity. Cedar Fair, we're looking at you now, what are you going to say? There is nothing for you to say, you took our park and killed it. Don't patronize us with the demolition note on your website, Geauga Lake cannot continue its 119 year tradition if there is no more park to carry it on. Don't force me to play a game of golf where my childhood dreams took flight. Don't punish a place full of history and tradition for its proximity to a fluttering flagship park. At the very least you could stop feeding us all this rhetoric, failing to change public opinion about your glaring failure. Until that day I have lost all respect I ever had for you. |

| 283 | Patrick McReynolds | Its is unfair to remove the classic coasters that mean so much to so many from this park. This will be the third coaster removal in only two years... This decision will not at all help the parks popularity and only worsen the already dwindeling ticket sales. |
| 284 | Brian Sommers | Geauga Lake is a tradition in the northeast Ohio are; it can't simply be shut down. |
| 285 | carey | |
| 286 | Chris Eichorn | That was sad! because Geauga Lake very good price and best coasters. one problem people attend become come down this year was 900,000. |
| 287 | Bill Wozney | |
| 288 | Doug | They need to develope a more honest buisness standpoint |
| 289 | Vicki Affinati | Please keep Geauga Lake an amusement park and not just a waterpark. Please make the upgrades that you promised the public. |

| 296 | Ted Joseph | The park should stay open & be maintained. |
| 297 | Ben | Close Geauga Lake. That park never once turned a profit when Cedar Fair Entertainment acquired it from Six Flags. Attendance dropping from 2.5 million a year to less than 700,000 really says something. I can certainly understand why it would be the best to close it down considering the company was losing money operating it. |
