John HendersonCedar Fair is making the biggest mistake here. Geauga Lake is a part of Ohio and this will be the worst thing that has probably happened to Northeast Ohio. Geauga Lake means so much to so many people and by closing down the rides, these people will not be able to give their children and grandchildren the experiences that they has once. SAVE GEAUGA LAKE

Parker RameyDon't close such a wonderful park.
Isabel VetoI think it is a great idea to start a petition I was about to start one myself!!!!
Chris HolderfieldI'm not saying I completely agree with the decision to close the ride-side of the park, but I do understand. BUT...the situation could have been handled much better -like, announcing it before the season ended - so people could say their goodbyes...
Vince CudlinThis is the utmost depressing thing that cedar fair has ever done. I have always had so many memories at geauga lake and met new friends and girlfriends. Everyone had fun at that park and no one has fun at cedar point, if i wanted to spend so much money on waiting in line for a ride, i would spend my money on something useful and that would be getting season passes to geauga lake. I really do not know how im gonna break it to my family and my friends that our favorite summer pastime is now gone. Thanks Cedar Fair and Dick-Head for screwing 110 years of memories and fun.

Missy HThis park was a great place for families to go and spend the day together and just have so much fun. Don't let the park die like so many others.
Beside myselfPretty low on the handling of the closure, when Euclid Beach closed, they let the public know in advance. The same should have been done here. I'm selling the CF stock. Kennywood, here I come.
NathanaelI don't find any reason for the closure of Geauga Lake. In my opinion all Cedar Fair had to do is made new rides, thats all.

Jeff ThompsonI had made over 6 trips there each of the last 5 years. The ride side was never even given a chance, it seems like you bought it to close it.

Jim PetrovicYou have broken the hearts of my children, the community, and many loyal patrons with this action. Cedar Fair's deceipt in the management and operation of Geauga Lake is absolutely unforgivable.

Cindy Ramagegeauga lake was a nice place to go and not have to worry about waiting 2 hours to ride a ride.will miss going there alot :( a very sad day
David Pricei believe we the public of northeast Ohio were mislead by your decision yo shut the park...attendance was climbing NOT falling and Geauga Lake is NOT harming Cedar Point in anyway...they are two different types of parks....Geauga is a "traditional" park with a long history..as is Cedar Point however Cedar Point was a traditional park and has its own history as well but has evolved into the greates park of all time....PLEASE DONT SHUT OUR BELOVED PARK !
Chris LawrenceBoycott all Cedar Fair Parks unless they sell Geauga Lake to someone who is going to keep it open as a family park!

Tom DavisThis park has been ruined by "Big Business". Look at any pictures of the park from the 80's to 90's and it was always packed, with lots of flat rides. Contrast those pix with current ones and you see the drastic change in "atmosphere". I loved this park once and I am extremely saddened at it's loss. Instead of going several times a year to CP, I will save my money an go on a real vacation twice a year to Disney.
Tim HolloranMe and My family used to visit geauga lake when it was owned by six flags. When cedar fair purchased the park I did not return because of the loss of the animals. when we did return it was a great disapointment. We vowed to return when more attractions were added after so many were removed. I guess that day will never come.
SFWoA Rules!
Rick PennyI have been a season pass holder for many years now. I guess them making the pass 125 dollars for the right to ride at multi parks wasn't enough for them. Shame really since they got 500 dollars total this year in passes and parking passes this year alone. I will never buy a cedar fiar season pass or single day ticket until CEO Dick Kinzel is replaced.
S. MorganVery poor decision to close this park. Many childhood memories of mine , now gone. Many families will not have the chance to make memories here as I have. Oh, Well...Onto Kennywood I guess. Hey...why not Kennywood buy it ?? I will no longer patronize Cedar Fair in any way. Wishing you the worst of luck.
