John PeckThe park was beginning to do very well on it's own again, though Cedar Fair decided to not market the park to it's full potential. If a park like Dorney or Michigans Adventure can survive, surely Geauga Lake can. The park was just too big, so you bite the $25 Million on the WWK side and rebuild the waterpark back over on the Bainbridge Side and keep the rides, and sell of the Sea World land. 750,000+ visitors can't be wrong. The WORST part is... is they never told anyone it would close. We'll never have that chance again to enjoy it.
Brian PlattIt will be a long time before you get any more of my money...
John WilsonCedar Fair is worse than Art Modell. They did not give people any warning or a last chance to say goodbye. Their destruction of 120 years of history to eliminate competition with Cedar Point will backfire.

Abby MarchandShame on you Cedar Fair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will never ever again go to a Cedar Fair Park

RickThis REALLY sucks Cedar Fair,,,,,,,,I live in Colorado now and look forward to going to Geauga Lake on my visits back home. I started going there in the 1960's and think this is a poor way to mess up the NE Ohio history and a great park!!
jeff shimkowell closing is for sure how about doing anything you can do to save the dipper? how about cleveland lakefront or something like that. if your heart is in making people smile (and thats what an amusement park does) save that ride!!! i will even come over and help take it down and put it back up in its new home!!!
Bret VillanuevaWe NEED this park, it a HUGE part of our lives.

Alex SoriaGeauga Lake needs rides. Cedar Fair sucks
m. t.its sad to think that every one of the people posting here have some sort of memory of the park, and out of greed, Cedar Fair is shutting it down.

Cedar UnFairThe most ridiculous thing about this travesty is that GL was just open last weekend. These grinches knew damn well weeks/months/years ago they were going to close this park. They could have announced this BEFORE the last weekend to give us all a chance to go in and get one last ride on our beloved Big Dipper coaster and get some final snaphots with our kids. They are lower than low and I believe in Karma. Enjoy yourself Dick Kinzel because some bad is coming your way. You hurt a ton of people with handling it this way.

Michael RobertsI've been a Cedar Point season passholder for 7 years. I'm seriously considering not renewing, and it's not just out of spite. Most of my visits to CF parks this year were to Geauga Lake, along with numerous family members I brought with me. I think you've made a terrible mistake with this decision; lying to the public about your intentions only makes it worse. I suspect this action is going to come back and bite you financially more than you expect.
Brian HalasIt is clear Cedar Fair purchased Geauga Lake with no other purpose but to eliminate the competition. At minimum, given 110 years of Geauga Lake history, Cedar Fair owes patrons two weeks notice to give them an opportunity to ride a final time and experience closure. The Big Dipper (11th oldest operating coaster in the world) and the historic Illions carousel are important structures deserving relocation to a functioning park, if not preservation at their current site. If Cedar Point does not relocate or preserve these two landmarks, they will be acting contrary to everything Cedar Fair professes to stand for.

Alex CronkI'm a Kings Dominion fanboy, I think this is so wrong if it happened to KD I would go nuts so I understand how these people feel! This situation sucks!

Darren MullinsD-I-C-K-K-I-N-Z-E-L...That sure is a funny way to spell Art Modell. At least Modell can rest easy for a while-he is no longer the most hated man in Cleveland.

MartyIt's disgraceful that such historical places are getting rid of. What happened to the preserving history sentiment, that most cities and states so proudly state? It doesn't seem that they make the push to pull it through. Well, I guess that they don't on alot of things! Anyways, signing this fine petition will probably do nothing, but I thought I'd thrown my dime on the subject. The owners are a bunch of morons. I hope that they know that, seriously. Lying to the loyal patrons is such a cruel thing, especially to those who consider this fine place to be a tradition of the area. The owners shouldn't even have the right to own anything, let alone a house. I'm sure they'll decide to kick their family out too. I'm from the Chicago area, and know how much the closing of Santa's Village saddened us. The place was basically a religion to us Chicago kids. Very sad, so I hope you guys have some luck on your side. Good luck and God bless! Show those idiots who's boss, heh!
Rich K Mentor, OHLost another customer. I won't renew our families (3) MaxPass next year. Kennywood, or another trip to Disney (usually dont go in summer) is on the agenda NOT Cedar Point.
