    Comments: We owe Dr. Latschar much for his efforts to protect and preserve this, the crown jewel of the National Park System.     Comments: A person should be measured by their accomplishments and how they were achieved. The improvements at GNMP during his tenure have been simply amazing. We now have a park for learning and reflection that is suitable for my children and generations to come. Despite vicious attacks led by individuals with personal agendas, Dr. Latschar led this effort with dignity, grace and a sense of humor. For what he has accomplished at the Gettysburg National Military Park, Dr. Latschar has earned and will always have my utmost admiration, appreciation and respect.
