Although if I remember the details correctly when we moved to the area 6 years ago and pursued acquiring high speed internet we learned that GCI does not run their own phone/cable lines but rather ACS does. And by Alaska law to keep services competitive ACS must allow other providers to use the lines they've installed. Not sure if this has been investigated fully by the persons who initiated this petition but if what I remember is correct perhaps a petition for ACS to run lines out this way would also be a good move?Flag
