   Comments: I believe that, on certain routes, there will be no problem with the easyJet takeover, but other key routes - ie the Canary islands - will not offer the same level of continued patronage. The basic no-frills package does not suit the destination.

   Comments: easyJet has underestimated the level of opposition to the takeover. The no-frills service is ideal for short-haul trips, but passengers on longer flights (such as the Canary Islannds) prefer a higher level of service. It is not the brand that is the issue - if easyJet maintained GB's service standards, there would be no problem!

   Comments: Easyjet is dire. Unless they maintain the same level of service as GB airways I shan't be traveling on Easyjet. A 4 hour flight to be treated like cattle is NOT my idea of flying.

   Comments: I live in Las Palmas in Gran Canaria and have been delighted with the service that GB Airways have provided me over the years to London Gatwick. I have been in contact with Easyjet who I have travelled with on occassions on short routes. The comfort and level of service on their flights leaves a lot to be desired and they would need to change their offering before I would travel with them from Gran Canaria

    Comments: I travel frequently on GB operated BA flights. GB/BA provide a significantly better level of service to that I have experienced on EasyJet, and I for one will not be giving my business to EasyJet on these routes if the sale goes ahead.

    Comments: I will never fly Easijet to Gran Canaria. 4 hours to be treated like cattle ! I would prefer Thomson Fly any day. (and I prefer the BA/GB flight anyday) I commute regularly between London and Gran Canaria and this flight is long enough to be stressful and requires an adequate meal service and a guaranteed seat to be a stress free experience. There are many like me who dread the idea of EASIJET - I have nothing against Easijet and have flown with them - they may well be tolerable on a short 1 - 2 hour hop within N. Europe but not a 4 hour flight. The sale of this route to Easijet is not a safe commercial bet for Easijet. We want a decent standard of flight service, leg room and the ability to upgrade to club as well as change flights ! As well as a decent meal service and minimal queuing.

    Comments: Whilst these are holiday routes and not business routes I think BA would be follish to loose them. I would not ever fly with Easyjet and therefore will no longer enjoy these resorts in the Med and the Canaries.
