Comments: It is unnecessary to put up a four way stop sign at gateway blvd and griffin drive. This will not solve our problems at all, and probably create new one (as we all know how poorly some drivers obey stop signs already)

Comments: I am not in favor of a stop sign at this intersection. I believe the study by LCDOT will indicate a more severe bottleneck on Gateway Blvd. at 7:30am every morning at this intersection. If you only move two cars through the intersection at one time, we will end up with traffic backed up for one mile on Gateway Blvd. north of this intersection.

Comments: Attempting to control a divided highway with a 4Way stopsign is not the most effective way to handle this problem. Please examine the accident statistics and recorded violations for this intersection to determine if there in fact is a measurable problem.

Comments: A 4-way stop will not deter drivers from driving inappropriately. Drivers choose to pull out into the middle section when cars are already waiting to turn. Drivers choose to run the stop sign or drive at 40+mph down Gateway Blvd. For $120K per year, I have seen LCSO monitoring once on 3/8 and once in February. Is there a contracted amount of days the LCSO is required to detail?

Comments: It is WCI's responsibility at this time to make any changes (with the approval of Lee County). WCI owns this area of roadway. I think it would be good to wait until Lee County takes over the roads, etc., from WCI (and Gateway Services CDD). Then anything added to the roadways (lights, etc.) would be paid by the whole County and not just Gateway residents. Usually, the County would do a study first.

Comments: I think that this is only going to case traffic situations and whether it be a back up for the TimberLine Residents or the people who clearly enjoy having the neighborhood 7- Eleven. I do not understand what this is suppose to correct???? If this is a solution to speeding then write a letter to the Sheriffs office god only knows that we are paying them enough every year to patrol. I live in Daniels Preserve on Country day circle.

Comments: It's crazy !!! Gateway Blvd has the right of way over Griffin Drive !!! Maybe we should put a STOP sign on Gateway Blvd. at the high school, so all the school traffic can get out and back up Gateway Blvd. even more. And anyways, what in the world makes anyone think the drivers will stop ??? Many people don't even stop at red lights !!!

Comments: Maybe a traffic light, however no stop sign. We could be like Europe and put a round about in. This will surely slow traffic down as well. Most drivers to not stop at a STOP sign, they look at it as a yield sign.
