Name: Mike Halley on Nov 22, 2012Comments: If there's even 1 little thing that can give someone with this terrible affliction a ray of hope or understanding, it should be exemplified. Some of the people that use these facilities are terminal and this place helps their minds accept the inevitable. If for reasons of expansion these gazebos need to be removed from this location, please make arrangements for another location to be used for the clarity, understanding and peace of mind for those in so much need. Thank you.Flag

Name: Susan Sloan on Nov 23, 2012Comments: "I think CTCA will have MANY unhappy patients/caregivers if they lose the Gazebos. An overwhelming # would be more accurate, and a bond will be broken that can never be repaired. I can't imagine this is what anyone in management would want? If so, I think they are in a misplaced position. "Flag

Name: Holly Sirmons on Nov 23, 2012Comments: Please reconsider taking away our Gazebo's, they mean so much more to us than anyone could imagine, or that could be put into words. If you take them away you are not just taking away a wooden building, you will be taking away hope, compassion, love, understanding, knowledge, comfort, and I'm sure most people will agree that the list could go on and on! They are so much more to us than wooden structures where people go to smoke. So please take all this into consideration before you decide to take them away from us....thank you for listening.Flag

Name: Karen Osburn on Nov 23, 2012Comments: I could write a book about our gazebo.I have seen time and again someone who didn't have money for a script, gas money to go home, cell phone due to be shut off, no money for food and too proud to ask for help inside. Everyone dug into their pockets and the problem was solved. This is the norm from this group.God has given us this oasis, please let no man take it away.Flag

Name: Barbara Blake on Nov 24, 2012Comments: Please give this petition your utmost consideration. The number of your patients, their family and friends, recieve benefits from this meeting place that should never be taken away. The Gazebo's are a 'symbol' of love and concern for those fighting a battle for their lives where much needed healing is taking place.Flag

Name: Linda Sloan on Nov 24, 2012Comments: I think that it would be a cruel & nonfeeling injustice to remove the Gazebo's. They are apparently a proven source of strength & encouragement for many to be able to go & support one another that nothing else can replace. Why change something that works & is very needed for comfort & healing of the inner soul.?.Flag

Name: Barbara Solorio on Nov 24, 2012Comments: Please save the Gazebos! I'm not a fan of smoking, but I know what it means to all those patients and caregivers at CTCA. I spent a lot of time at CTCA over the last 1 1/2 years with my husband and even tho we didn't go out to the Gazebos, we did meet a lot of the people who do and made some great friendships with them. Cancer is a horrible disease that depresses and scares everyone who comes in contact with it or has a loved one with it, and you definitely need all the support you can get - and it sure helps to talk to others who are going thru it and can share their experiences! My husband lost his battle with the nasty disease in Sept. so I'm not there to visit with all the friends we made there, but we keep in contact. The Gazebos are a necessary part of "treatment" for the patients and caregivers, so please, please don't tear them down ! ! !Flag
