Name: Mona Edwards on Nov 21, 2012Comments: Please think about the patients and caregivers that have learnt so much in these Gazebos. To many of us they have been a life changing experience and we look at one another as a family. We cry we talk we laugh we share. Those Gazebos are a home to so many and so many more would be welcomed. Please keep the Gazebos !Flag

Name: Brian Ridgway on Nov 21, 2012Comments: The Gazebos are so important for patients and families to connect. I'm a non-smoker and the Gazebos were always the favorite place for me and my loved one (CTCA patient) to visit. Actually, I would suggest integrating the "Gazebo" atmosphere into the main facility. The socializing that goes on is PRICELESS!Flag

Name: Missy Hicks on Nov 21, 2012Comments: Please do not let them tear down Gazebo that was where my husband would go when he was upset or worriedand we always had support there. My husband Michael(Mike) Hicks passed in April and I still have contact with friends that we made their at the gazebo. It was like family out there we all lifted each other up and prayed and cried and talked together.Tha is somewhere to go when you are just wanting to be with others that know what you are going thru, me as his fulltime caregiver for 2 and half years it was the best thearapy for us better than any dr. could have given us because they all knew what we were going thru. Thanks Missy HicksFlag

Comments: The gazebos were an important part of my treatment plan last summer as my wife was unable to be with me due to work issues and the people that I met and connected with became my support system while in treatment.Flag -

Name: Sheila A Wherry on Nov 21, 2012Comments: Though many people may find it ridiculous, that many of us are trying to save a foundation for smokers/non-smokers, alike, I assure you, this plea to keep the Gazebos at CTCA, is anything but ridiculous! While my daughter KaTara C Wherry, was being treated at the CTCA in Tulsa, OK., The Gazebos and the incredible patients, caregivers and other family members of patients, are from where and whom me and my family, all non- smokers, reached out for payer, love, understanding, information, confirmation, devoted strength and courage! If it were not for the amazing family I was so blessed with, from being apart of the Gazebos, through out my daughter's illness and upon her passing there, I don't know what I would have done!!Flag
