When we initially recommended that the front Exit gate be closed at all times, it was the result of a compromise with Ryland, which did not want the gates closed at all times, due to their construction needs. This makes our "gated community" not gated at certain times of the day. The compromise was reached in an attempt to lower vehicle speeds in the neighborhood. 

What we did not anticipate was that many would not follow the Rules of the Road and would use the open front Entrance gate as an exit. We have seen cars and construction vehicles use this method. 

We are afraid that a serious accident will occur if this continues. We have seen cars close to head on collisions. We have seen construction vehicles exit during school bus pick up times. 

We have taken pictures and video and sent them to Rizzetta and Bob Gibbons at Ryland. 

Their response - have 50% of the residents sign a petition to keep the gates OPEN during operating business hours.
