Comments: I am a town of Tusten resident who values this area enough to look into this issue fully before allowing a potentially environmentally damaging practice.

Comments: Drilling is a mistake! Tapping into the underground of developed lands will surely cause havoc! Please respond to the needs of the citizenry.

Comments: I live in Tusten, outside of Narrowsburg, and am extremely concerned about the rush to drill without adequate protections for the environment. The history of this technology is very bad and the forces pushing to drill are fighting against responsible environmental policy. The towns must uphold the legal protections that all citizens rely on to ensure the health and safety of their water, their air and their land.

Comments: T The Scenic and Recrational Upper Delaware River was designated as such by the U.S. Congress and is to be preserved for future generations. The Upper Delaware River serves as the drainage area for the Delaware River Basin, which supplies drinking water to the residents of New York's metropolitan region. The Upper Delaware River aquifer is clean and is a national treasure. It should not be allowed to be polluted by any industry or any individual for any reason whatsoever. Without the scenic beauty and the pristine natural resources, the Upper Delaware River Valley will no longer have any quality of life.

Comments: I strongly support no gas drilling in Highland and Tusten - this is one of the most beautiful, scenic areas of the Catskill region, and any drilling should be absolutely banned PERMANENTLY. There needs to be alternate energy source exploration, not the same old energy story, once again. NO DRILLING NOW, NO DRILLING IN THE FUTURE.

Comments: i do not want gas drilling any where near me. I purchased my second home in Highland lake to enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of the area. What a disappointment to me and my family and what a hit the value of my home will take. Who would buy in my area now

Comments: I am a second home owner in Yulan and have been planning on retiring there within a few years. I understand that there will be money to be made for those who sign the drilling leases. But remember, they are "just short-term leases"!! The land and future environmental problems from the drilling will be YOUR problem... forever. The change of quality of life for those who live and love that area will be devastating. , The drilling, noise of the trucks and additional safety problems arising from transient workers entering our area will make a once idealic setting into a dirty industrial zone. Please reconsider what is about the happen.
