Garrett Turbos' distribution strategy goes against all normal business practices: Exclusive agreements have been made with a very select few distributors in the US. These distributors will only sell turbos at their cost + 44%, while the shops, in order to respect the agreement, will have to sell at: Dealer price + 10% in order to be competitive with prices found online from... these very same distributors that also sell at the END CUSTOMER!!! Normal business practices says: you're either a distributor, or a dealer. You can't be both, because dealers need to pay for shipping the part to them, then if located in an other country: they need to pay a tax that varies depending on the origin of the product. In this case: made in Mexico. 7% taxes will be collected by the Canadian Border Agency which will render the sale impossible to the end user, the remaining profit (3%) becomes non existent once shipping is considered. Please let Garrett Turbos (A company owned by Honeywell, a company that sold for 34.7 BILLIONS in 2007!!) know that we want a fair and honest distribution strategy for North America... NOW.
