For the benefit of the environment and surrounding neighborhoods of Potts Point and Elizabeth Bay, we put forth the following environmental improvements and protocols for the base:
• Ship engines to be off unless ready to move.
• Fumes from ships be kept to a minimum at all times.
• No engine throttling at berth.
• Sandblasting and all other sources of airborne particulates to be contained minimizing impact on surrounding residential zones.
• To contain any contamination from ships, preventing negative effects on the surrounding waters.
