Comments: Allow game designers to be creative just as they are in movies! At least with R rated games children will not be able to access them as easily as movies; i.e. games cost $80, movies cost $20.

Comments: We NEED a unified media rating system. An R rating would PROTECT young people by clearly rating restricted content. Do you really think children who are capable of putting R rated Game into a computer are not already able to an R rated Video or DVD into a player Do you really think games are for kids The avg purchaser is 38, player is 35. Games are like music, movies and books and are here to stay. Of course with all media we need education for parents and controls over sales and advertising of restricted content.

Comments: It's no different to people accessing these restricted games online. I don't see the logic in not putting them on the shelves, even though people do want and can obtain these games.

Comments: Its ridiculous that one Governal General can dictate that older gamers have no choice. His thinking is old and dated, and is influenced by minorities. As research shows , children under 18 can download FAR WORSE of the net. At least this effectively stops minors purchasing games that only adults should be playing anyway. Perhaps if parents monitored what their children play, adults dont have to miss out. Besides, where would minors have access to the kind of funds needed to purchase games anyway.

Comments: An R18+ rating will help the economy, if most likely not by a large amount. I read somewhere that Michael Atkinson believed today's youth to be able to easily bypass an R18+ rating to acquire the games. This is true. What Atkinson - if he indeed said something like this - is missing is that the youth can already get their hands on the games, but they will do so illegally. Adults will do the same. An R18+ rating will do no harm and only good.
