| 1402 | Anonymous | This is getting ridiculous.. I'm going to have to import my favourite games. |
| 1403 | Trevor Murray | Censorship should only ever be self enforced. |
| 1404 | Jason Reedy | Australia is one of the most limited, disadvantage and ripped off countries in the world, time to let some stuff banned to come in, growsumballs and do it |
| 1405 | joel clark | if there is a r rating parents will take it more serosly and really think about what the game contains before buying it for there kid.
But video games are not only for kids many older people that played them as a kid still play them and are now looking for games that are now suitable for there age group |
| 1406 | frank miller | video games are not only for kids |
| 1407 | paul miller | why should videogames be any different than other forms of entertainment, its not only kids that play them, the kids have grown up now |

| 1416 | Brad Fleming | I'm actually too incensed in regards to this issue to actually write anything constructive. It's becoming increasingly embarrassing to call yourself Australian these days, a supposedly free thinking & clever country?? George Orwell's world is rapidly closing upon us. |

| 1419 | Luke Atkinson | Not allowing the R rating genre is hypocritical.
R films and books exist, is this any different from digital media? The people in control of this aspect are irresponsible and immature in the idea that they believe their value must be held at higher regard than Australian citizens. If there are any problems regarding the sale of R games to minors this should be seen under the same guidelines of M games. Sales staff should be responsible, as should the sellers or alcohol, movies, book, tobacco based products. |

| 1435 | Anonymous | If the rest of the world is mature enough to play games with high sexual and drug content as well as other adult themes why aren't we?
Its part of the immersion of the game play experience, people know that its not reality thats the whole reason why they play. |

| 1437 | Neil Andrewartha | |
| 1438 | Dylan Costello | An R18+ rating is not only required in order to deliver video games of an adult nature to adults, but also to ensure children do not play these games. Currently there is no suitable gap between what is adult content and what is not. An MA15+ label does not sound-off alarm bells when parents are deciding upon the nature of the content. It suggests a gray area, not quite designed for adults exclusively.
To remove animated sexual movements (featuring fully clothed characters) from GTA4 while keeping mass murder, and heroin and cocaine use does not make any sense. Then, to decide that such a game is suitable for 15 year olds, rather than 18 year olds (whom the game was clearly made for) is ridiculous.
This sort of logic also contradicts any argument that censorship of video games is necessary in order to kerb emulation of what is depicted in the game. I cannot speak on behalf of all video game playing parents, but I would like to think that I am not alone in wishing adolescent boys receive a blow*** before trying any of the other activities depicted in GTA4.
But, I am also under the impression that video games are not such influential machines of destruction as the only adult criminals I know were also criminals when they were kids. They're not the kids who played video games for hours on end, they're the ones who were out shoplifting and getting into fights.
Us who did lock ourselves away for those hours (years) are now grown up, educated, and contributing to society.
And we want our R18+ classification. |

| 1440 | minh | we need an r18+ system.. why is the rest of the world have one and we dont have one... are we smarter then the rest of the world or just plain stupid, im ashamed to call myself an australian... |
| 1441 | Kelvin Lam | I should be able to play games that I as a gamer and as an adult to be able to see without issues. |
| 1442 | Josh McGrath | Fallout 3's recent banning was a joke.
1 - i have never seen any statistical data to back up claims of why games are more damaging to adults then movies
2 - All arguments seem to revolve around kids getting access to them. Maybe the problem with all 18+ activities is that they are not properly policed to stop contact with minors. An X rated dvd found by a curious child only has to be inserted into a dvd player. A game could have far more sophisticated aged checks in place if required. |
| 1443 | Azriel Dimitrios | why should they allow 18+ movies and not games |
| 1444 | Stephen Cassel | Get a decent Rating schema. |
