| 1301 | Anonymous | R18+ rating should be allowed, so over eighteen's have the choice to play the game without having to illegaly import the game from other countries. Plus, you can't stop us under eighteen kids from downloading the game, and it would be a bonus that it's banned. Imagine at a lan. "Hey man, check out this game, it's banned in Aus!"
"OMGROXOR!! Why is it banned though?"
"You can use drugs ingame or some sh1t like that.."
"Meh" |

| 1310 | John Wilson | I'm an adult and I should be allowed to play or watch what I feel like, not what the government (aka Big Brother) deems acceptable.
Fact of the matter is that I would dearly love to support the company making Fallout 3 as I've been a fan of the series for a LONG time but if the game isn't for sale here I (and every other fallout fan I know) will simply pirate it.
The classification system needs to be changed to allow MA18+ games for sale here in Australia. |
| 1311 | Steve Gibson | It is definitely worth differentiating between what you would experience in an R-rated movie and the over-the-top games that, for example, the US allows (Manhunt, Postal, etc). From my experience and reading, violent games (and loud music actually) serve as an outlet for violent behaviour, rather than encouraging it. Would you prefer young men sitting around the house virtually killing each other or actually running around the streets and physically hurting people... |

| 1315 | James Bennett | If we do not get the R18+ rating soon we may miss fallout 3 possible being the biggest game of the year. Children can be harmed by many things if their parents are irresponsible enough to allow them to have them such as liquor, cigarettes, TV, DVD, movies, Internet and pornography. If Michael Atkinson wants to ban violent games because their harmfull to children then why does he not want to ban these things. |

| 1332 | Anonymous | An R18+ rating for videogames will not only allow me to make my own choices in regards to what I can or can not consume, it will also protect children and teenagers from games that are barely scraping by with an M rating - many M rated games I consider to be inappropriate for people under the age of 18.
Allow me the option - I am a consenting adult. I am aware of the difference between fantasy and reality. I
I can see far worse things in theatres than what is presented to me in games that are currently being refused classification. |
| 1333 | Kai Frith | The fact that we as mature australians are being cottled like children offends me. We should have the choice of what content we wish to view for ourselves as well as be trusted to ensure OUR children dont get their hands on such things. |

| 1342 | Adam Smith | The lack of an R18 classification games is not helping australia protect kids. The same kids who can break through parental locks can pirate games via bit torrent. No doubt Fallout 3 will be on the bit torrent list within days of release. The simple fact is Michael Atkinson needs to get off his power trip and smell the flowers. It is not his responsibility to prevent other people's children accessing R18 material its the parents. Its the same with leaving boiling water on the stove, you make sure your kids cant touch it so they don't get hurt. Micheal Atkinson you may as well ban boiling water as a kid might burn themselves, after all your attitude shows that you think parents can't raise their own kids. |
| 1343 | Justin | |
| 1344 | Verity Mannix | it seems fair that we have the same rating system for games as we do for films, we shouldn't be restricted from playing the games we want to when we are over 18, if we can see it in a film, why can't we see it in a game? |
| 1345 | Adrian T. | |
| 1346 | Christopher Yabsley | Rational thought leads to no other outcome. Let individuals decide what sort of media they are exposed to. |
| 1347 | Eric | I am over 18 why can't I have adult games? |
| 1348 | Anonymous | Its a travesty that the classification for adult level entertainment such as video games is inadequate for the current day and age. Add censored material if necessary otherwise it will deplete the (already) dwindling australian games market. |
