| 1251 | John Mitchell | Get off your high horse, Mr Atkinson!
Give us out R+ rating, so we can make OUR OWN DECISIONS, instead of you dictating to THE WHOLE COUNTRY, what YOU think is right. |

| 1253 | Mark Thompson | Please bring Australia up to the same level as the rest of the world. |
| 1254 | Chai Lim | The lack of any debate at a governmental/official level on the ratings structure for gaming is rapidly becoming an international embarrassment, that not only damages our cultural standing, but encourages piracy. |
| 1255 | Stephen Moore | This is beyond the joke. I'm old enough to choose my own content, thank you very much!! |

| 1261 | Anonymous | Not having a R18 will only back fire on yourselves. Just like the movies you ban. See how many under aged audience watched it just because you banned it.
Give us Dark Sector, Fallout3 & uncut GTA4 legally.
Welcome to the 21 century and say hi to the new technology! |

| 1266 | Joel Bruce | The majority of gamers are over 18, why insult and deprive them of age-appropriate gaming because some parents either can't or won't control their children. Why not ban cars because a minority drive unsafely? Why not ban prescription medication because some abuse it? |

| 1277 | Anonymous | The SA AG should grow up and quit using such flawed logic. |
| 1278 | Matthew Tyers | With the introduction of an R18+ rating for Video Games, minors would be protected from inappropriate content in same way they are protected by an R rating for video content now. |
| 1279 | David Sneddon | It's about time that the government and censorship authorities realise that this ban is doing harm to local software developers and game designers. If movies can be censored to R18+ then why not games?
What is different between them, aside from the "interactive" nature of games? |
| 1280 | Johnny Davis Jr | If R18+ were to be introduced, then a great many that fall into the MA15+ will be moved up to the higher classification, and in effect reducing violent content to minors. At the moment, MA15+ can be purchased with the parent's permission, but upon seeing R18+, parents will think twice before allowing their children to play these games.
Photo ID is required to purchase alcohol, cigarettes and R18+ DVDs, so why can't the same be implemented to R18+ video games? If a retailer is caught selling to a minor then they are fined, like they would if they sold one of the aforementioned products.
Its about education, not censorship. |
| 1281 | Terence Corten | seriously, all the other countries are laughing at us |
| 1282 | Gary Patterson | Introduce a rating system that spans all media and apply it equally across the board. Picking out games or photography as the whipping boy of the day is bad policy and leaves the public stepping around regulators by imports or (in the case of games) piracy. |
| 1283 | Mark jaccuzi | |
| 1284 | Melinda C | I think that it is ridiculous that Australia doesn't have an R rating for games. |
| 1285 | Dylan Sale | |
| 1286 | jason rivett | |
| 1287 | Caylem Millar | Not allowing 18+ games promotes game piracy. The hideous prices we pay for games also promotes piracy. |
| 1288 | Anonymous | The average gamer age is older than I am. Having a standard system will do more to protect humanities future than blocking adults from adult content because some young whippersnapper may get hold of it.
How about we educate parents and sterilise those who have no ability to care for their offspring? I sware, the world is ending up like Idiocracy. |
| 1289 | James May | |
| 1290 | Rick Mavrick | Please allow game playing adults to make decisions about what is appropriate for themselves. An R rating would clearly mark what is not-appropriate for children to the gatekeepers of this media - parents and store-owners and shop-assistants. |

| 1294 | daya eurell | |
| 1295 | sam | |
| 1296 | Daniel Tipper | This rating would *protect* children. It would make it very obvious to all concerned that some games are not for children. And allow those of us old enough to make our own decisions to enjoy them (or not). |
| 1297 | Neil Hodgson | |
| 1298 | Matt Taylor | |
| 1299 | Matthew Staker | This makes no sense, and the subsequent attempt at justification by the government official concerned is hilarious and looks out for the minority not the majority. |
