Name: Joy Farmer on Jun 21, 2004State: GAComments: It seems that the fundamentalists have forgotten that there are only two commandments, and the second is love one's neighbor as oneself. The majority of other laws found in the Bible do not adhere to this commandment. Instead, they advocate abusing, discriminating against, and even killing others. Our U.S. Constitution, by contrast, is founded on the concept of fairness, which means treating others as we wish to be treated. Therefore, Judges who uphold the Constitution are infinitely better equipped to sit on the bench than those who uphold the Bible. Leah Sears and justices like her must remain and the crusade against her must be seem as exactly that--a crusade in which the Infidel is defined as all Americans who do not think like the fundamentalists. Any group that defines the enemy as a fellow citizen is dangerous beyond imagining.Flag

Name: Gloria Scoggins on Jun 21, 2004State: GAComments: Does the concept of "church and state being seperate" not count for anything anymore We need people who are open-minded, not close- minded in office such as this one. They have enor- mous power once they are in office and nothing or nobody can "vote" them out of that office. Use the common sense that God gave you and really think about it without letting someone else persuade you that "this is the right thing to do." God gave you a mind for a reason, PLEASE use it. Thank youFlag
