The transport board confirmed the Master Action Plan has been officially approved. I am drained from this long haul but I am relieved that we finally secured the rail improvements these towns deserve. We must keep watching to ensure they actually break ground on the project.

We support the Brigg Line Master Action Plan in an effort to achieve rail improvements designed to be fit for Gainsborough a town that is set to double in size over the next twenty years, Kirton in Lindsey the historic capital of the Kingdom of Lindsey and the thriving market town of Brigg.

The feedback from local residents keeps coming in and it is clear that the current rail infrastructure is failing to meet the needs of our expanding region. I am spending my hours drafting formal letters to the transport authorities to ensure they understand why this action plan is the only path forward. It is exhausting to fight for basic improvements but this issue is far too important to let slide.

I live in Kirton in Lindsey and work in Brigg. As the manager of Martin Mccolls I've notice an increase in people shopping in the town. Having a daily train service can only be a good thing for the area. I support you 100%
This would be brilliant because we have to drive to Scunthorpe, pay all day parking, then catch the train to Sheffield or Cleethorpes. Or pay a fortune on the bus to Scunthorpe, which is too expensive when you have children too.
I attend Lincoln College in Gainsborough, it would be better for a number of students if a better service ran from Central Station, Lea Road station is quite a way from the town centre with a poor bus service connecting Lea Road to the college.
At least money has been found in West Yorkshire PTE budget to make Kirkgate presentable. Unfortunately Lincolnshire County Council do not acknowledge the existence of Gainsborough Central and the Brigg Line in their ten year Transport Plan published last year.
Despite this action plan been for Gainsborough I can honestly say that the residents of Brigg fully support this plan, the line from Gainsborough Central to Brigg has not had a weekday service since the early 1990's, to be honest we are all suffering because of this.
A service that runs on one day a week and then only a few trains a day is totally useless to regular travellers. It's not really a service at all.
it makes sense to have a 7 day service.

The infrastructure is there, and should see use. Similar situations existed on the line to Fishguard Harbour with its 2 trains a day of use only to ferry passengers. A local service of 5 return trains a day has doubled usage in the first 12 months.
