We, the undersigned students of the Winter 2008 Art 100 course instructed by Dr. Chin do bring the following to the attention of the Faculty of Fine Arts:

THAT Dr. Chin does have inconsistent attendance to her Art History 100 course

THAT due to Dr. Chin's inconsistent attendance, an unacceptable and abnormally high number of class sessions are being cancelled without notice

THAT as a result of these cancellations, student learning is being comprimised

THAT the students in the course have registered for the course and been have assessed tuition and fees based on the valid expectation that Dr. Chin would have consistent attendance at class and class cancellations would be rare and limited

THEREFORE we, the undersigned registered students/auditors of the Winter 2008 ARTH 100-001 course do request that the Faculty of Fine Arts conduct a formal review of Dr. Chin's attendance and performance as an Associate Professor specifically to discuss and assess the high number of cancellations in the named course and its negative effect on student learning.
