Republican Governers in the State of Georgia have created a bill (SB469) making 'civil disobediance' a felony punishable by up to a year in prison time for individuals engaging in protests. The bill also has provisions aimed at weakening the influence of labor unions in the state. If this bill passes into law the public in Georgia will essentially lose its voice. This bill is a slap in the face to our Constitutional Rights-specifically our First Amendment right GUARANTEEING US the right of Free Speech. If Governers in Georgia get away with this attrocious violation of our rights then you may rest assured that other states are soon to follow. Please sign my petition of Georgia Bill SB469.
