It is our understanding that Gov. Sonny Perdue, R-GA, is leading a fight to halt health care reform for the citizens of the State of Georgia.

It is our stand to let those within hearing distance know that Gov. Perdue does not, in fact, represent the entire state of Georgia in his claims, intentions or beliefs on health care reform. Though the health care reform bill as is was watered-down by the Republican Party, we accept President Obama's push for health care reform as a good beginning.

As a citizen of the State of Georgia, neither Perdue, Saxby Chambliss nor Johnny Isakson represent the voices of all of the citizens and residents in the State of Georgia, and with all due respect, we dissent against his push to joinder the State of Georgia in this disrespectful and selfish lawsuit.

We join voices and hands with Congressman John Lewis and Attorney General Thurbert Baker in respectfully asking that this lawsuit not be pursued and/or be withdrawn. We are in favor of health care reform for the State of Georgia as it stands, and as it will be improved over time.

This is not an encroachment on "our" freedoms, this is an encroachment on their desire to profit at the expense of the health and lives of citizens in the state who do not have equal access to health care. Our freedoms are protected in the bounds of this law. There are many things at law that are unconstitutional, but we do not consider this measure to be one of those things.

We do NOT consider health care a privilege, but a right; and the State of Georgia should stand by Congress' majority vote to enact the Affordable Health Choices Act, and the Affordable Health Care for America Act.

We are appalled that Governor Perdue or any of his constituents would consider this demeaning measure "taking up the cause on behalf of Georgians."

It is clearly taking up a cause that is personal to him and does not help nor benefit Georgia residents who do not have equal affordable access to health care and medical coverage.
