Georgia is losing some of its brightest students to other states because of this arbitrary and unwarranted policy.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Oct 27, 2008First and Last Name: Mandi JohnsonCity: KingstonState: GeorgiaOrganization/Business :Comments: As a degreed engineer from Mercer University in Georgia, who is now homeschooling my son I am grately concerned about this joint enrollment policy. It the academic record of homeschool students is comparable to those in public school they should be able to apply without discrimination. There is no evidence whatsoever that to allow equal opportunity for homeschool students would be in any way detrimental for the university system. On the contrary, homeschooled students prove to be a greater asset to these institutions of higher education that their public school educated peers. This policy must be changed. Sincerely, Mandi D. I have a PhD and am at least as qualified to teach my child as a teacher with a BA or MEd. There is no reason to discriminate against homeschooled children.Flag
