The Sprint PCS / Hitachi G1000 is a full featured PDA cellphone with camera and built in modem. On the box it states it can "Send and Receive Text Messages". However this functionality does not work. You cannot send SMS or Text Messages directly from the phone, and you cannot receive Short Mail or off-network SMS messages on the phone. This is a petition to have the phones fixed or replaced, as they do not live up to what they were advertised to do. For many, the $700 investment to get the top of the line phone became a major let down when it did not work properly, and we are asking Sprint to take responsibility for their advertising and their products & service. |
