Volunteer fire departments are depended on heavily to respond to calls in rural areas and sometimes back up paid departments. they do this for free to the public. They don't get paid for what they do but the do work hard to get what they have such as trucks equipment and even fuel. That's right some departments have to buy their own fuel for their emergency vehicles and pay for the service or repairs to them as well. I am petitioning that the government set forth a budget for the local Volunteer fire departments for fuel,equipment,and training of personell. I would say its time the Government actually spent money were its deserved for once and not blow it.
