Fund Connexions Warrington!

125 Signatures Goal: 250

MAKE OUR COUNCIL PROPERLY FUND CONNEXIONS WARRINGTON!

Connexions provide advice and practical help to young people aged 13-19 years old on education, careers, housing, money, health and relationships.

They have beaten government targets locally and work within schools
and the community to give the young people of Warrington
the best opportunity and future.

Connexions Warrington has suffered £1.2million of cuts, resulting in colossal job losses. Connexions are now only able to provide careers advice and are no longer open on a Saturday (when most young people use it).

There are to be only 5 careers advisors left for the whole of Warrington;
14 schools, 2 colleges, 5 sixth forms and thousands of young people.
But only 5 careers advisors...

Warrington Borough Council has £4million in reserves,
and £17million in 'ear-marked reserves'...

DEMAND THAT WHOEVER GAINS CONTROL OF WARRINGTON ON MAY 5TH,
FUNDS AT LEAST 5 MORE CAREERS ADVISORS
FOR THE FUTURE OF WARRINGTON'S YOUNG PEOPLE!

Thank you,
Tom Jennings- MYP for Warrington South.
