As a citizen of Prince William County who is concerned with the importance of providing public parks with adequate athletic fields for our children, I urge the Prince William Board of County Supervisors to fully fund the completion of Catharpin Park.
The allegations that Catharpin Park was de-funded as retaliation against Supervisor Candland for his efforts to reduce taxes on Prince William County families need to be answered with the swift approval of funding to fully complete the installation of athletic fields and lighting at Catharpin Park.
The time has come for the Board of County Supervisors to park the petty politics at the door -- and fully fund Catharpin Park.
