Although some of the people that he works with may not have much "quantity of life", the services that Buddington can provide certainly assist with "QUALITY of life". And isn't that what's most importantFlag

Name: Nicolle Barteaux on Jul 1, 2007Comments: I feel that the job of making children laugh is the most important especially when there are going through such a hard time. It is not only a great benefit to the child, but to the family and hospital staff as well. I truly hope that Buddington can receive full time hours or a if that isn't possible that other clown positions become available so that there is always a clown in the hospital to help someone in need.Flag

Name: Amanda Marryatt on Jul 1, 2007Comments: Buddington the Clown is very important to the kids at the hospital. After a child is sick all day and has been poked at and they don't want to be there, when Buddington vists them they get time where it doesn't feel like they are in a hospital and that's a great gift.Flag

Name: Melanie Ross on Jul 4, 2007Comments: Although Thankfully, I myself or my children have never had the pleasure of meeting Buddington the Clown in person, When my little girl was 3 weeks old she was addmitted to the IWK with RSV. While staying with her in the hospital I was invited to an Auxillary tea in the cafeteria which is held every Tues. I went down to see what it was all about and it was there I saw how Buddington touches the hearts of the children who sadly have been given the chance to meet him. He attended the tea with a little boy who had cancer. Although I didn't want to stare, I couldn't help but watch how Buddy put a smile on his sweet little face. I had tears in my eyes, knowing and worrying about my little baby who was upstairs in the hospital, but then you realize how much worse and how much more devastating things could be. I couldn't imagine being his parents, and I couldn't imagine being that little boy. I think if there is ANYTHING anybody can do to help those in those sad circumstnaces feel a little better, or just making them smile and forgetting their troubles, if only for a moment, it should be something that is available all the time. I seen this in Buddy that day. Please let him be available to all the children who need a smile to help them through their day. IThank You!Flag
