The budget is moving forward for a public vote just as we demanded. I am drained from this fight but grateful we kept our schools intact. Let us show up at the polls to make sure this finally crosses the finish line.
As Ridgefield taxpayers, voters, and/or parents we support the Board of Education's $78,352,111.00 budget. In acknowledgment of the current economic recession, this is the second lowest budget increase request in over thirty years. This request includes essential and necessary programs, including but not limited to, full day kindergarten and a K-5 literacy coordinator, which will better our schools and enhance Ridgefield as a whole. We are requesting that you allow this budget to be sent to the voters as it stands and allow Ridgefield the ability to vote on the educationally responsible and fiscally sound budget adopted by unanimous vote by the Board of Education.
The path to 500 signatures remains steep and exhausting. Please take a moment to forward this link to your neighbors so we can show the town exactly how many people support this budget.

Ridiculous that we even have to ask this. The board did their job. Send it to the voters already.

We need to invest in our schools even when times are tough. Ridgefield schools are why we moved here in the first place.

Full day kindergarten is long overdue. Its a bargain for what the schools provide for my children.

This is a responsible budget. Stop playing politics with our school system and let the taxpayers decide.
