Full Day Kindergarten in Wallingford With the implementation of the new Common Core Standards it is more important than ever to have children start with the best education possible. Most school districts in Connecticut have acknowledged that half day kindergarten is not enough, with 121 out of 169 providing full day Kindergarten. Thirty of these 121 Districts converted to full day for the 2012/2013 school year. Only 36 districts currently have half day Kindergarten, with the others having some sort of extended day. Of the remaining 36 districts, some have already decided to transition to full day for the 2013/2014 school year.
