This petition is to show Frodsham Town Council (FTC), that young people want a new safe, central and all inclusive Wheeled Play Area on a new site at Frodsham Leisure Centre. Cheshire West & Chester Council is currently trying to raise funds to pay for this new play scheme. However, FTC has an unused asset in the form of Park Lane Play Area site in very close proximity to the Leisure Centre. This site is also 30 yds away from Castle Park which as part of £3.2m National Lottery Grant will have 2 brand new Playgrounds built in 2010. Park Lane Play Area is not fulfilling any use for the local community; nobody uses it and is now a liability rather than an asset. The land was left in trust to FTC for the benefit of young people in Frodsham. It should achieve that purpose in 2010 by being sold now to help fund this new project.
