Name: Webb Hamilton on Jun 18, 2009I am (a): 02Comments: While teaching English in Japan for over 20 years, I found the biggest barrier to the listening/speaking ability of my students was the lack of exposure to "native English" and the opportunity to use it in a stress free, fun environment. The Listening and Speaking Center provides that opportunity. Not a day goes by that I don`t hear laughter and see eyes sparkle as ESL students learn and practice their English at the LSC; it is definitely an invaluable De Anza College facility.Flag

LSC fills a significant need. It is the only place on campus dedicated to helping students improve their listening and speaking skills. We need it! Keep it!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jun 20, 2009I am (a): 01Comments: This lab inspires me to study English. We who are speaking English as a second language need this lab as a significant support to improve our listening and speaking skills. The current economic crisis is not our faults. Does it make sense when our tuition fees are going to increase and the meaningful support to us like LSC is dangerous of being cutFlag

Name: Gloria Heistein on Sep 21, 2009I am (a): 02Comments: LSL programs have been tremendously popular among my ESL students. The Lab deserves institutional support! It has also been the "homebase" to CCP, for which, as a co-coordinator, I have been very appreciative of having the Lab for Cross Cultural Partners. I urge everyone to speak up for LSL.Flag
