My students benefit greatly from the services offered: CCP, Language Exchange, Workshops and classes. They also use the computers and recording devices available. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and my students feel comfortable in the lab. The services provided by LSL are invaluable to the success of my students and so many others on campus.Flag

For students, not only learn about advanced knowledge form books, lecture and essey in college but also must learn how to exactly express what they have learned, especially foreign student. I think that every student who takes ESL class should take the classes of LSL in the same time. It will be more helpful for those students to sucessfully finish their education in De Anza college. The students will be proud of being greduated from this college. I truly hope administration can keep these classes of LSL.Flag

It was more comfortable to speak English in front of some friends rather than in a big class. It was also good for ESL students to build confidence to speak English. In addition, through the presentation recording part which I never did before, I got very useful feedback from my classmates and teacher.Flag

The Center offers a wide variety of programs, including workshops, Cross-Cultural Partners, tutoring, and language exchange. In addition, the Center offers a broad range of 1/2 unit classes to help students with their language skills (e.g., ESL 210, 211, 213, 216, 223, and 224). This program is invaluable to the academic success of our second-language learners, and it would be a shame to see it disappear because of budgetary constraints.Flag
