We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens do hereby request that the Marietta, Ohio Planning Commission reject the request for a Variance/Special Exception before you by John Gillard and Eagle Realty with the proposed building to be constructed at 1308 Greene Street. The proposed construction, as per the request, will be materially detrimental and injurious to the public welfare and property of the residents and/or owners of the neighborhood of which this variance is requested. It will destroy our view as well as detract from the privacy that we currently have. Concerns that we hold dear and must be considered as per Ohio Revised Code 713.01 as well as Item 3 Paragraph c of additional powers. The proposed 8000 square foot building will be above and adjoining the residents of East Fay Avenue as well as being built on former Pennsylvania Railroad fill that was built in the late 1800s. Additionally, said proposed building will be built, if approved as submitted, over the Marietta storm water runoff system and as requested have their parking on public property owned by the city of Marietta, and or the State of Ohio. Finally, the requester of the variance, and his business partners, collectively or individually, own no less than 3 other sites all within sight of this one that would better accommodate such a structure and NOT adversely affect local residents, public property, or the storm water system..
