Name: Lisa Wood on Oct 11, 2007Comments: The State isn't emotionally attached to this horse, why not let him be with his Lake Louisa "family" and get another horse for the Kissimmee program The Sheets have even offered to find and purchase a rideable, comparable, horse to replace Buck, it's win-win.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Oct 11, 2007Comments: WHY NOT give the Sheets the opportunity to purchase a suitable replacement It makes one think there is more than what appears to be going on. Whatever the reason, don't take things out on Buck and deprive him of the love and comfort he has enjoyed with the Sheets. Why deny the Sheets the opportunity to continue to have the horse they are so bonded with in their lives Life is so hard, this is a no brainer, stop being difficult and let Buck be with the ones who love him! This is the time for the State of Florida to show our State is a kind, compassionate entity, not hard, cold and unbending. LET THE SHEETS HAVE BUCK for a suitable replacement!!!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Oct 11, 2007Comments: Our leaders of the State need to step in and make this situation right for Buck and the Sheets. It isn't so hard, a suitable replacement is being offered, win/win, what's the big deal to deny this request!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Oct 11, 2007Comments: It would be completely wrong to not allow Buck to go home with the family who cares for him. Park services can easily fill his vacancy, and I know that people have offered to donate/purchase a replacement. Please do the right thing!Flag

Name: NANCY J. ADAMS on Oct 11, 2007Comments: Can you imagine what Buck must be feeling like Think about the fear and terror of being placed back in the very element that you were rescued from in the first place. It is clear to many of us that the people making this decision have NEVER experienced a relationship with GODS PERFECT CREATURE. What a special gift for both Mary Ellen, Brian and Buck to have each other. Please give them back Buck.Flag

Name: Mary Ann Hahn on Oct 11, 2007Comments: Brian and Mary Ellen Sheets deserve praise for their efforts with Buck. They indeed performed a great service for the people of Florida. More importantly they set a great example of how the State of Florida can be a leader in equestrian management, one of our greatest economic resources. Please let their efforts be recognised and reward their initiative by returning Buck to their care pemanently. Buck has the heart of many who support the trails and this great industry. Please return Buck those that brought him care, love, good health and purpose. Let Ranger and Buck ride again. Let them be a testament to a good deed recognised.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Oct 12, 2007Comments: Lake Louisa is becoming a great horse park and its a shame that the ranger's horse is being move. The ranger has helped get horse ppl aware of these trails and as a horse person we understand the bond between horse and rider. Its like forcing someone to divorce when they don't want to.Flag

Name: Melanie Simon on Oct 12, 2007Comments: I understand there may be an issue with selling state property (Buck) to a state employee (Brian). If this is the major hurdle I can suggest several other ownership options that would transfer Buck to the Lake Louisa State Park "family" and let the Sheets continue to care for and train Buck.Flag

Name: Becky Coduto on Oct 12, 2007Comments: This is a no-brainer. Give them the horse. As a horse owner, I know what it takes to train and care for our equine partners. Buck will have a great life if he is allowed to be part of the Sheets family. He will not have that same life if just a number with a herd of unbroke horses. As a taxpayer, I feel this is the most cost effective action to take, and as a human being, it is the right thing to do.....Flag
