Comments: We need a Fresh Market out here but it cannot be built on a residential zoned property. There are several vacant locations in new commercial developments in the area. Please put it in one of these, don't initiate the destruction of our planned residential versus commercial protection!

Comments: A fresh market is a great idea for West Cobb, but not in the overdeveloped area currently proposed. There are numerous commercially zoned areas lying vacant on or near Dallas Hwy. at the Avenues that could house a fresh market without taking more green space. Do NOT support Columbia's proposal to lie waste what's left of West Cobb's natural beauty.

Comments: I support a Fresh Market, but only within zones currently allocated to this type of development. I strongly oppose any spread of commercial zones into zones intended for residencial. There are ample areas for a Fresh Market in other, very close by areas.

Comments: I was told today in the store that Belks will be building a larger store next to the Paulding county Line Wal-Mart on Dallas Hyway, so that space could be available in a year. Should certainly be big enough for Fresh Market. mmmmmm... Fresh Market next door to Kroger.

Comments: This proposed development requiring a zoning change is outside the already established commercial node for this area. It violates the current land use plan.

Comments: To many existing, open bulidings in NW Cobb for a new shopping district. Some are old, some are new or even under construction. PLUS, it does not meet existing zoning. Existing zoning should be the determining factor!

Comments: I agree that we have too many other developments that have space available. W don't need another one that sits half filled as the Village at Old Trace. I'm afraid of what will end up there -- another DUI school for the "students" to trash the parking lot as they do at Village Green We need to stop all of the unncessarry building -- use something that's already built!!! What happened to everyone "going green".

Comments: I think a Fresh Market would be a great store for the West Cobb area, but NOT in the area proposed. The Board of Commissioners should stay with the zoning that is already in place! I have met with Parks Huff, Attorney for Fresh Market, and our HOA (Lake Somerset) Board of Directors has expressed this to him. The newest shopping center right across from Bob Cox Road has a huge amount of vacant property - why not put the Fresh Market there - this center really needs an anchor store.

Comments: Once again we are revisited with another test case of whether our elected officials will do the right thing and uphold the County's Comprehensive Plan. I and others in my nearby subdivision are watching and care very much that the "very low density residential" designation be preserved. If Fresh Market prevails our residential areas are fair game for future exceptions and our Comprehensive Plan becomes meaningless. Please vote against Columbia Properties rezoning request and for West Cobb residents' quality of life.
