Seriously? Charging fees for music now? Way to kill the vibe of downtown. Nobody is going to want to visit if it keeps going in this direction.
madison is supposed to be a place for artists not a place that fines them for having a voice. let them chalk!
Ridiculous. State Street has been the heart of this city for decades. Stop taxing people just for existing in public.
Seen too many good street performers pushed out lately. They bring so much life to the area and the city just wants to squeeze money out of everyone.

City hall has lost its mind. First amendment doesnt stop at the sidewalk.
