Comments: What happened to Tory is the biggest miscarriage of justice ever imaginable. I hope they put the rapist to jail for life.

Comments: How can you possible talk about rape or sexual assault without using the words that accurately describe the situation This law seems to have taken politically correct speech much too far.

Comments: Surely not using the word "rape" will sway the jury in the opposite way...

Comments: The judge may claim he is trying to avoid prejudicing the jury but he is actually doing just that by obfuscating the very object of the trial. Completely inappropriate.

Comments: I was a rape victim in 1970, and made to feel by the investigating officers that it was my fault. I thought we had come farther in 37 years.

Comments: In a system that already prevents more people from reporting than it encourages, we cannot let one more roadblock be placed between survivors and justice.

Comments: Although I live a great distance from Nebraska, I was born and and raised there and this case has come to my attention here in Hawaii. I have followed it closely. I have been absolutely baffled by the rulings of this court. Citizens need to demand a change in the law if that is what is necessary to level the field in this case and give Ms. Bowen the opportunity to defend herself and speak her truth.
