| 1 | Tory Bowen | This law stops with me. |
| 2 | Marilyn Geiger | What an outrage...Tory is being victimized all over again, but this time by the court! |
| 3 | Kyle M. Flynn | The defendent is a "serial" rapist meaning this will continue as long as he has the freedom to do it. He is obviously good at getting away with it which only adds to the probability he will offend again.
These men do exist are in our communities, big or small. They do not and will not stop until we properly address this issue. |

| 5 | elaine geiger | It's time for Nebraska to give victims the respect due to them. |

| 7 | Kay Belvin | WHAT AN OUTRAGE! IT'S WAY PAST TIME TO GIVE VICTIMS OF SEX CRIMES THE JUSTICE THEY DESERVE. |
| 8 | Anonymous | |
| 9 | Diane Kratz | Victims need to be able to use their words to describe the crime. |
| 10 | Ann Gatrel | This is outrageous that intelligent human beings are not allowed to tell the truth under oath. The judicial system asking witnesses and victims to lie in court is the same as anarchy and it is indicative of America no longer having a righteous judicial sytem. This MUST BE THROWN OUT. How did this ever get to this place? It is corrupt. I bless the judicial system and all in charge that they will have their wits returned post haste. |

| 19 | Anonymous | I think the jurors must be made aware of the laws that prevent the victims from using the words that best describe what happened to them. |

| 21 | CHris Canaan | Tory Bowen should be commended for standing up to a system that is so bogged down in legalese that it fails bring justice. |
| 22 | Jennifer C Wohl | Section 27-403 Rule 403 is a travesty to the justice system. How can a rape victim describe what s/he has experienced if the exact words are ripped from their mouth? Words like attack, hit, threatened are not banned from assault and battery cases, why should rape, sexual assault, and rape kit be banned from a RAPE case? Who is supporting the protection and justice of the victim here? If we take the language away from these victims, are we not making them unable to tell their story? How else do you describe rape without using the word? It is not sex, it is not intercourse, it is not something that you do with someone. Rape is a crime committed by one person upon another. There is no passion or love or lust in rape, there is only the power one person brutally rips away from another. The intercourse forced upon the victim during rape is not just non-consensual, it is an attack of the most intimate and damaging kind. Rape leaves its victims broken, lost, and forever afraid. The courts should not permit the perpetrators of rape special privilege in trial because the word rape is so powerful. The word is powerful because the crime it describes is the worst nightmare of women. Please, protect the integrity and justice of American women. Amend Nebraska law. |
| 23 | Devon Reeves | There is no logical, rational reason for these words to be barred. |

| 25 | Bob Sawdon | Is this not a rape trial? Then call it what it is........RAPE. Does a sexual assualt case not include rape? This needs to be overturned as some level |

| 28 | Kelly Sellers | I Agree see www. ipetitions.com/petition/inhisfavor |
| 29 | Joe Wilkinson | As stated in numerous articles, freedom of speech needs to be allowed in and outside the courtroom. Certain words give the perception that it was consenual or that "If I can't be a victim so...what am I?" The ruling is totally prejudice, rape, for the most part happens to women. We as a society are supposed to respect women, so how does being biased in a courtroom help that? It's nice for everyone to have the spotlight, but Judge Jeffre Cheuvront is out of line and either the ruling needs to be turned orver or impeachment needs to be considered. This is the real world, not some fantasy land that judges can try their theories out. |
| 30 | Tracy Line | I cannot believe that rape victims have such a horrible time seeking justice...in the United States! It's egregious that women like Tory cannot freely say in their own words what was done to them in a court of law. I pray for justice and hope Pafir is held accountable for his crime. |

| 37 | Ann Yandle | I am friend of Tory Bowen's mother and know what kind of person Tory is. I do not believe that Tory complied to having "sex". She was raped, plain and simple and the Nebraska law needs to be amended to give rape survivors free speech on the witness stand. Whatever happened to the rights of the victims? Do the right thing and CHANGE THIS LAW. |

| 41 | RJ WEST | This is disgusting. Perhaps if she wore a burka to the trial the judge would be happy. |
| 42 | Christina Santamato | Let Tory and all survivors the right to freedom of speech. Tory's words should not be portrayed as lies; but words that can give woman hope and strength to stand and fight against all kinds of injustice. |
| 43 | Sherri Hunter | The words "rape" and "sexual assault" are too sterile as is, how can we possibly expect any justice if we weaken the words a survivor is allowed to use in court any more. |
| 44 | Anonymous | don't make the victom go through more than they already have!! |
| 45 | Courtney Felgenhauer | I have been raped and let me tell you it really messes up your head. I still have alot of mental and emotional scares from what happened. If this can help I will do anything for the cause. |
| 46 | Tracy Schroepfer | |
| 47 | Kamdyn Moore | You have my support 100%. Judge, maybe you should read up on the facts!
Definition of Rape
Fact: Rape is a violent and serious crime. Rape is sexual intercourse (vaginal, oral, or anal) without consent. Rape is not about sexual attraction, but rather desire for power over another person. The victim is not at fault. Offenders use drugs, alcohol, physical violence or threats to force another person to have unwanted sexual intercourse. No one owes anyone sex.
Banning the word RAPE in court makes it clear to the public that Judge Jeffre Cheuvront should not be presiding over any case, let alone a RAPE CASE. It is obviouse that Cheuvront does not believe that RAPE is real and it happends to a woman every 2 minutes. |
