As a lot of you have heard, Rufus the Robin, the Hull KR mascot has been banned indefinately from the KC Stadium. The ban comes from an incident where he bent over and shaked his backside at a section of the Hull FC fans, the same gesture that he does every home and away game, and a gesture that is always met with laughter. He did not as some suggest expose his bare backside in the same action, confirmed by the nature of the suit and the inability to apply and remove it without help. The job of a mascot is to entertain his fans, have banter with both home and away fans and basically interact with the crowd as best as possible. Also it is worth, the person behind the beak of Rufus has worked closely in the past with a young Hull FC fan to cure the child's fear of all forms of mascots. So, if like me you believe this ban is ridiculous and only highlights further the rift in relations between both Hull clubs instead of trying as best as possible be civil with each other, then sign this petition and fight to have the ban on Rufus lifted and make sure he can entertain the Rovers following at the KC Stadium derby on the 16th July.
