Do you want free parking in Market Drayton as in other North Shropshire District towns?

The businesses in Market Drayton were surveyed and said no to parking charges, but were ignored. It is now time for the people of Market Drayton and surrounding areas to make their feelings known.

Newport, Wellington, Oakengates and Ellesmere have fought parking charges and won. Larger towns like Buxton and Congleton have 2 hours free parking.

The enforcement of the parking charges is driving shoppers away from Market Drayton. It is not a pleasure anymore, people are stressed and not able to enjoy shopping and they feel that they cannot stop for a coffee or a meal. Tourists will not want to come back.

Free parking will help promote Market Drayton and bring people back to our town.
